"Been living here for 3 years and I have enjoyed living here throughout this period. Never had a problem with noise or apartment neighbors, the building is clean and secure, packages are taken care of, and I never felt unsafe as a woman. Green Lake is a couple blocks walk and fredmeyer in Greenwood. My apartment is a bit on the smaller side for the price but that is the market now."
"This has been a great place for me to land. The building is always kept very clean, even my friends say it smells great in the halls. The rooftop amenities are the best and it has an incredible view. They are regularly making updates and improving the shared spaces. The staff has been my favorite part of living here, they are friendly and always willing to go above and beyond."
"I wish i could write two reviews, one for the apartment complex and one for the owners of the building Avenue5. I lived here for 2 years, and making 6 figures a year got priced out of the apartment. I am saving up for a downpayment and found a bigger apartment for a third of the price, it's no where near as nice (but I'm saving 10k a year). Living at Crew was nice, parking was easy so I never had to pay for the garage parking (an extra 200$/ month), my neighbors were kind, the roof was awesome during a sunset or fourth of July for fireworks, the employees in the front office were kind and incredibly helpful, and the maintenance guy was an absolute gem. I did truly enjoy my time living here. This is a "luxury" apartment owned by a company aiming to make money, and that is exactly what they did. On top of my already high rent I paid (on average) an extra 250$/ month in water/ sewage/ gas/ common room electric/ pest control/ etc. (For comparison I currently I pay an average of 100$ for water/ sewage/ gas). My main frustrations came during move out, and the 297.50$ in unexplained fees they tacked onto it. I hired a cleaner to make my apartment spotless, talked with the maintenance guy directly and asked if any repairs needed to be made that I may get charged for, moved out a day early, etc. I did everything I possibly could to get my deposit back. The main office did make me aware that some fees may arise for cleaning, etc. and that I would get a final bill a month or so later. What they didn't tell me was the bill would come from an entirely different email and phone number I communicated with, all ending up in my spam folder and getting flagged "Spam Likely" during calls. They also didn't tell me I would get verbally threatened and told responding was "in my best interest". They also didn't tell me there was a platform fee and a service fee to pay the move out fees, totaling an extra 20$. They also didn't tell me when I asked for an option to pay by check and avoid fees I would get gaslight and a new feature to pay my checking account would magically appear. Obviously by reading my review you can tell I'm burnt and put off by them, but it doesn't negate the fact that they are a money hungry company that doesn't give a damn about you and will do everything they possibly can to make a buck. If you have the means to live here, it's a great spot great location with friendly people. If you're even a little tight on money look elsewhere."
"The application process was confusing and office staff told me that I was supposed to ask question about when I have to move in since the day application approved rather than provide that information up front. Since I'm going to move from out of state and unable to move to their required date, they cancelled my application and still charged me the application fee, even told if I paid the holding fee $100 I would loose that as well. So your logic is any person who never rent an apartment before should have known and ask about that instead it is your job to provide that information for customer, or have it on the application process that information to block that date that people want to move rather than leave it out and misleading people. Terrible experience on application process and waste of money. Will not even consider to live here."
"I'm more of a "house person," but given the proximity to Green Lake and that not unreasonable price, Crew is a rather solid choice. The rooftop access with an unhindered 360 view is a real treat. Our neighbors have been surprisingly friend: in part because we have a young dog. Dogs do wonders for breaking the "Seattle Freeze." The apt. is small and the garage door has been frequently broken; I park on the street, where finding a spot hasn't been an issue, rather than spend a couple hundred a month for a covered spot. Those who work in the office have been warm and friendly. It's dog-friendly! This includes free doggy treats in the entry-lobby, and the opportunity to have 2 dogs, up to 75 pounds. Monthly rent for dogs is cheap. I miss being in a house, but for living in a large unit housing structure, Crew is a fairly solid choice!"
