Reviews of Bellamy Park Apartments
"Nasty manager she is way too greedy all she wants is to line her pockets with everyone's money she loves ripping off people in the complex she needs to lose her job that is not cool"
"bellp review Buckle up. To live here you'll really need to have some patience. And probably some sort of coping outlet. I lived here for 2.5 years and just moved out end of December. I was in a first floor apartment and had so many issues (and of course they raised the rent despite that and charged me $330 after move out. They want this plus my security deposit apparently). On two separate occasions within 3 months of one another my apartment had a flooding/major leak from the ceiling in my closet, bathroom, entryway and kitchen. A lot of my personal stuff got damaged and luckily I had renters insurance, but a few items were irreplaceable. It was a fight to get them to pay for my carpets to be cleaned after that. They did, in the end have them cleaned, but made it seem like they were doing me a favor? They brought in dehumidifiers and the first time was during the summer when my apartment would reach 98+ degrees because of their additional heat output. And ofc I couldn't make plans to stay elsewhere because somehow it was up to me to empty the dehumidifier bins every 8 or so hours, otherwise the collected water would leak out onto my floors. I asked them to bring in fans, they said it wasn't necessary but when they came in to check on the flooring they took it upon themselves to plug in the two portable fans I bought. More than twice I emailed mgmt about smokers and how cig smoke wafted into my apartment through the windows and the vents in my bathroom. Their solution was to write a reminder email about the no smoking policy in what is SUPPOSED TO BE a smoke free property. The problem wasn't fixed. It didn't help. If you can stand noisy neighbors—good. You'll have to if you live here. The walls are thin. And I mean THIN. Also my upstairs neighbors stomped and jumped and moved furniture around their apartment at all hours of the night, you could feel the walls and windows shaking. I will say the ONE person in the leasing office I've interacted with is Saray- she's amazing. She's wonderful. And the maintenance guy who was always kind and tried to do whatever he could to help me is Lorenzo. Those two deserve raises because I swear they're overworked and the only good things about those apartments. TLDR; Only live here if you absolutely have to. Last resort. Oh, and expect hefty fees when you move out even if there's no major damage."
"The apartment had all the amenities we needed. I appreciated how quiet the apartments were, you rarely hear neighbors unless they're outside and your windows are open. While the previous management was in all truth not very good and nor helpful, the new management is quite the opposite. Most of the bad reviews on the internet you can find were under that previous management but I can assure you the new manager is great. She helped us with problems we had from a year prior without a hitch. In the end I can recommend this place, if not for the quietness, the good management."
"This complex is managed poorly. My military daughter and son-in-law rented an apartment for their family when he was stationed here. Manager told them the $200 deposit was for cleaning when they moved out. When his orders took him away, 10 months later, the manager charged them an additional 360 for cleaning an apartment that was spotless. I know because I helped them clean it. I guess they think they can swindle military people when they need to leave quickly. And now after they paid your bogus charges, you send them to collections for “unpaid balances.” You will not get away with your scams on military personnel. Shame on you. That place was perfect and you know it! Maybe if you answer your phones and show up to move out appointments you’d see that."
"Bellamy Park apartments are beautifully located and has decently maintained grounds, that's about it. The website claims that each unit has been beautifully renovated. It has been our findings, after living in 3 separate units since June, 2014, that statement is a bold lie. Some do have newer appliances and linoleum, however this does not make up for the overwhelming pet and cigarette odors or carpet issues we encountered in each apartment. The leasing agent here has a history of ignoring major issues in the units, according to both maintenance workers that I have met in our nearly 20 months here. Doors and sliders not shutting properly, stains and rips in old carpets, stains on the ceilings, peeling drywall repairs and mold that has been painted over many times... we were most recently moved into a unit with carpet that needed replacing; there are huge tears in the hallway that should have been dealt with prior to us moving in, which create a snagging risk. I found this out when I got caught in it and took a nasty spill. I requested a work order, after several months of no proposed solution since notifying the agent of the tears at move in. The agent did send the carpet vendor, whom immediately said he would need to replace the carpet in the entire unit. I had to again engage the agent, after not hearing from her for months after the assessment. Her excuse was that the vendor came by on her day off and she hadn't heard from us. We had assumed she was working with the vendor to make things happen. This lack of communication, as well as evidence within the units, leads me to assume that either the carpets are not cleaned and sanitized before move in or that the leasing agent completely ignores the carpet vendor's assessments. I would not be making a stink of this if the agent had decided to not down talk me, and not lord over my head random niceties that she performed on our behalf, without notifying us. So, we're stuck in a crumbling, unsafe unit because we could not afford the transfer fee to switch units, after she had done us a few favors (without documenting them with us). Now, per the leasing agent, if we "really do want the carpet replaced", I'll need to move my furniture room to room... I have degenerative disk disease and a partner whom constantly works to keep us afloat; this is a daunting task for me and I would be left to deal with it on my own during the vendor's hours. I used to think the leasing agent had the tenants in mind, but now I'm seeing that she's sailing a sinking ship that she won't make right. Just another case of landlords cutting corners and their renters."
