Reviews of Forest Grove Apartments
"Decent apartment, add is decieving, makes it seem like apts are more modern/new. Apartments are large and spacious with lots of storage but they are very old and not well kept. Kitchen cupboards are super old with YEARS of grime on them. They're painted with flat paint so it's difficult to spot wash walls. Soft spots in the floors and no one ever returns phone calls... Ever! Getting things fixed sometimes takes months... They look beautiful in the ads but I don't know. I guess it just depends on what you're willing to put up with. Lots of room for improvements!"
"Excellent place to rent a home from what I can tell anyway. Visited a friend who lives here & u was honestly impressed. Her apt was very clean & well maintained for an apt & her unit had optimal private storage no less which I'm a huge fan of. I wouldn't have to drive to a storage unit either as they were rt across each apt unit separate from each apt. VERY CLEAN! I've never been here prior to my visit but they have a nice feel. Kids were playing in the courtyard or playground that is situated directly in the middle of the units so if u don't enjoy small children playing or screaming at times then maybe this isn't for you. Most don't mind the sound in the near distance of children having fun but it wouldn't be ideal for grandparents maybe hoping for race & quiet is my point. It was not all that loud keep in mind, only 2 children were playing when I was visiting. I also couldn't hear them inside the apt complex when I was rt next to the window in the living room. The galley style kitchen was very spacious for an apt & was separate from the living area. Down a shirt hallway was the bedrooms closets & I'm not sure if laundry was provided in unit or on premises. The bathroom was very clean & nicely maintained by the owners of the complex. Had a really nice family vibe there & plenty of room in this until for 2 adults to comfortably live & a child or 2 even. Great neutral colors were in each room with good clean carpet mainly other than bath & kitchen. Full bath I believe with shower in it. The bathroom I used was off of one of the bedrooms but I believe there were 2 doors in it so it's accessible by both the hallway & that bedroom. Not sure if there's others in the unit. This was assumingly a 2 bedroom unit but not totally positive but 2 can totally live together not really that separate if u needed that space individually. But good enough space I thot u wouldn't be living on top of each other in it. ID DEF RENT A UNIT HERE TO CALL HOME. I'm fairly picky in apt shopping. I won't do them at my age now just becuz I simply don't care for neighbors period being this close & I prefer duplexes or rental homes but those r more expensive & sometimes we don't have a lot of choice financially so I'd stay here no doubt if I had no other larger more separate stye living option! Theyre situated right off Ruddell Road but far away from the road to be quiet from traffic noises I presume tho I was visiting in the evening hours and on a holiday weekend so I can't say for sure u wouldn't hear this during other times but assuming you can't based on how nicely placed these are from the road. There's lots of big larger Fir type trees around on the property to give that living in the forest kinda feeling which is really important to me in apt lifestyles. Overall I would go here if I needed an apt no doubt in my mind but it would be the 1st on my list after my visit & I've rented plenty of apts in the area over 30+ some years btw. It's top 3 for me!!!! Maybe even the best I've seen! You won't be unhappy living here IMPO. Good luck to u if finding a home is on today's list of to-dos! Def swing by to check these out if so!!!"
"I work with the disabled and low income population and recently helped a low income individual with their rental amount here and I have to say, from a professional standpoint, the communication is extremely poor, the property manager seems to contradict herself directly, and has an extremely rude demeanor. She seems to have no issues with taking advantage of low income individuals in their livelihoods and seems to have no remorse in doing so. I would highly encourage anyone inquiring about this location to look elsewhere. Property managers are a direct reflection of the morals and values of a company, and if this is who they chose to represent them, that's extremely concerning."
"I currently reside at Summer Ridge Apartments. My family and I moved into a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit in April 2014. I will start by saying that our experience living here has been just fine. It's a bit noisy during the day and during the summer months with a lot of kids living here but not intolerable. I never hear our neighbors as others have said (probably depends on what building and unit you are in) For the price you get a crazy good amount of square footage. I noticed upon move in that the trim around walls and doors was a bit shabby and the windows and doors are certainly outdated but everything is functional. Pros: Great square footage, washer and dryer in unit, quiet, feels safe, beautiful trees and scenery, HUGE decks, love the office staff (Casey is awesome, she is always helpful and sweet and feels like she actually cares about residents) Cons: Apartments just generally outdated, bad trim work, LOTS of bugs (doorways and outside areas are just infested with spiders and webs, I'm talking hundreds, I've tried to hose down some of the areas but didn't really do much) stove doesn't work well (issues with the burners) but I haven't really had the time or energy to put in a work order for it. Overall, my two kids and fiancé enjoy living here. It's comfortable for us and we love the space in our apartment. We are the last building in the complex so our deck faces out towards the woods to it feels very private and cozy. I do wish they would keep up the "appearance" of the place a bit more (window trim, lots of decks don't look like the paint has been finished) There is a new management company and they seem to be making some changes slowly but surely so we will see what is to come! I would definitely recommend this place for someone on a budget who needs a lot of space."
"This is probably one of the worse places I have ever lived and all I've ever done in my life is RENT. Thankfully I never had a vehicle broken into. I was harassed from day one of moving into this nightmare. Before the new property management took over it was still a nightmare. Management at that point was wonderful though. They were very caring and understanding of certain situations. Casey Harris is still there and very pleasant to deal with. She is professional and will do everything she can to help. The other manager Cassidy, not so much. She is professional, but shouldn't be dealing with the public. You do not get that warm feeling from her when speaking to her. I've had mold in my apartment since day one. They tell everyone to just clean it with bleach. I'm sorry, people are renting $800-$1000 a month. Last time I checked MOLD IS HAZARDOUS TO PEOPLES HEALTH! and you are the rental property and should be fixing it as soon as possible. Hire another maintenance person if you're short staffed. Do these people or Cambridge Management for that matter think that because its a "lower income" property that they can treat people anyway they want to?? Or just let mold, broken locks, and broken seals on the door go unnoticed??? If you're an equal housing property, you should be up to standards, code and the law for that matter. Live anywhere else but here."
