The location may be a little bit out off the beaten path for most… but that’s what helps the Helvetia Tavern preserve its neighborhood charm. "We went as a group with 3 adults and 4 kids. Everyone loved the food. Service was spot on too. I ordered a large fry for the table and they were super tasty. Some of the best fries I’ve ever had. We also got their house fry dipping sauce called “goop” and it was good too. I had to try the jumbo cheeseburger. I really liked it. It’s hard to describe but imagine if McDonald’s wasn’t garbage. It has a similar taste to what McDonald’s would want to be like if they weren’t cheap fast food. The bun was super good and soft. There were two patties kinda offset from each other to fill in the large bun but every bite had meat in it. It seemed like they had their special sauce on it too. Mine had grilled onions that were delicious. The bill for the whole group was like $90 so just about $12 a person which is really really good for the amount of food and quality of the meal. I for sure would go back."
