"0 STARS, DO NOT RECOMMEND. We discussed at length having a tubal ligation. She tried several times to talk me out of the procedure for the usual excuses "I was so young" "what if I meet someone, and want more children, or they want children" etc. I was 24 with 2 children already. I didn't need more, and I wasn't trying to base my life decisions on "what ifs" I expressed several times how I DID NOT want clips put in my body, because I KNOW MY BODY, and it doesn't handle foreign objects well. So apparently, the whole time she humored me, and straight lied to my face. So of course, I got an infection directly following the procedure, but WAS NOT TOLD that she decided to do the clips anyway(a procedure that isn't even done anymore for good reason) instead of cutting and cauterization. I found out around 10 years after, when going for an MRI that she had gone against my wishes, and our discussed set plan. I guess she thought she knew better than me with my own body, or that I might change my mind and fall in love and want more children. I didn't, and wouldn't have. I'm almost 43 now and about to become a grandmother. I still have the clips. They have caused me immense pain, for years! fairly sure one of them has turned and slightly opened, but is likely embedded in my tube with scar tissue. I now can't take pain medication of any sort, so surgery for removal is out of the question. I have to live with the pain. Not only that, but removal would be considered an elective procedure and not covered by my insurance. She does not listen, and will lie to your face. Do not trust her. She's lucky i found out after the allowed time for a lawsuit had passed. I've had a lifetime of pain and suffering because I was lied to. Go to someone else, and don't sign that paper that says she has a right to decide what's best during surgery, because that's supposed to be if you encounter complications and have to change course for medical reasons, NOT so she can just do whatever she wants with a healthy body."
