"If I could give this place the middle finger rather than even 1 star it would be a higher review than the folks running it deserve. The antics and unlawful practices of the incompetent management have progressively worsened since I moved in here March 2020. For 3 years, the amenities were closed off to us without providing a break in our rent. After a class action lawsuit was filed, it was a matter of days until those were opened. The trash compactor hasn't worked with any consistency for over two years, and all the other trash receptacles were removed. Threatening notices were posted warning us against storing trash on our patios. And requests for how/where to dispose of trash were ignored or answered with directives to place trash in a room (with a locked door) and in dumpsters (that don't exist). Their fix to their self-made problem? Put your trash in the unventilated halls and charge us for it! The whole building often reeks! Dog poo in stairwells, urine in the elevators (when they work and don't trap you inside). An overactive fire alarm, that the fire department quit responding to and so many blunders by the staff here it's ridiculous. The latest winter storm had us without the ability to bathe, do dishes, or wash laundry for over 1 week. Twice my apt has been flooded due to the 4th floor sprinkler system bursting. The second on Christmas Day no less, had them ripping open the hallway walls and leaving them open for over 6 of the coldest mos. of the year with no ventilation or dehumidifier. But no such efforts have been made or water damage repairs inside my home! Water was coming in under the door, through the walls and even from the ceiling. Although I have a stack of notices of entry (that aren't the lawful 24 hrs notice) where they claim to do work but absolutely nothing is done. And then they even claimed water never made it into my apt.! Like I imagined holding back the water with my linens and catching it in buckets. I've been double charged for my utilities and when I requested an explanation, crickets. I had to fight for months to have them even provide my ledger with my name and to correct misinformation on it. They have intercepted my packages and interfered with deliveries (as if malfunctioning call boxes aren't enough), ignored countless requests for clarity in communication and repairs, broken promises to test for mold and make things right, and provided conflicting directives and misinformation with nearly every communication. Since 12/30/22, they have entered my home at least 3 times without lawful 24-hour notice. There have been another 2 attempted entries. I've been locked out of the building and they even lost the key to my apartment and didn't respond when I wanted the locks re-keyed. And what have I done to deserve all this? Pay my rent and utilities on time, be a good neighbor to my fellow tenants and follow the rules. I have in writing one of the managers saying I'm an ideal tenant! I have photos, witnesses and all of this in writing. I am exaggerating nothing. In truth these issues are just the most recent and ongoing. There is so much more I could tell you about but there isn't enough space allowed here. From the lies told to me during the walk through, processing my application prior to authorization to do so, to not checking the mail for 3 months so my rent checks just gathered dust. To a lease that expected me to sign over my likeness and voice to be used in their advertising without compensation or even permission! Now I don't know the future (if I had that talent, I wouldn't be living here) and I don't have a crystal ball so I won't say that you will regret moving in, but with certainty, sincerity and honesty, I can tell you that I do."
"This is the worst and least professionally run apartment I ever lived in! I lived there for almost 3 years and thought the new company that took over (Sunrise Management) was going to be better than the last one but they are even worse. They are great when you first move in but then don't care at all. They NEVER answer their phones or respond to emails, the office is ALWAYS closed and if they do finally email you back, they use a do-not-reply email so you don't try to contact them back. I've called, emailed and went there in person for a month trying to get my deposit back and they finally emailed me back on the last possible day saying I owe almost the exact amount back as my deposit was. I do not recommend living at this place."
"I’ve lived here for a year and the new ownership has done wonders. The building looks incredible and I’m so excited to use all the upgraded amenities - especially the new yoga room! Tim and Cory have been so helpful with the transition. Can’t say enough good things about them!"
"I have never felt more unappreciated as a tenant in any apartment complex I have live than Harbor Court. After one year of living here I have yet to speak with anyone over the phone. When called you will always get fwd to and only communicate via email (when manager is not on vacation or likely fired at this point). I have since moved out more than 30 days ago. From THIS point I still have not been provided a way to pay my past due balance which should have only been a prorated amount since I did not live in my unit for a full month. After playing the famous ‘Harbour Court resolution’ game of voicemail to email , voice mail to email , and talking to 2 managers who let me know ‘someone would look into it’ I was told I would receive a link on how to pay this NOW adjusted balance. Guess who didn’t get a link.. Who then received a letter that my balance is now with a company called Debt Logistics and if I have questions in my amounts I need to see them.. who has now checked and online access has been deactivated which would have made this circus game over rather quickly. I can always respect a company who listens to customers and/or tenants, who will find answers if they do not know them or will follow up when these are in the works of being resolved. This is Not Harbour Court. Stay Far Away from here.... You’ll thank me later."
"Deserves zero stars. Still awaiting the money they owe for overcharging us on our last bill. (That was back in May.) The most mismanaged apartment I have ever have unfortunately dealt with. Don't worry they'll be nice to you when you move in then screw you over when you move out. The maintenance man was awesome."
