Reviews of Red White & Blue Thrift Store
"A true junk shop. Good place for used clothes, but literally every non clothing item looks like it's straight out of the dump. I felt gross after going here. Giving it 2 stars for the clothes, but not worth going if you're looking for other items."
"I have been going here for years. You have to pay in cash! Sometimes there are good finds, there’s plenty of inventory to go through. The toy bags are annoying because to get something you have to buy an entire bag filled with the toys that nobody wants. The employees can be rude or disinterested."
"Decent, just bring a keg of patience and enough cash to satisfy your curiosity. Super duper crowded, either young women, old women or middle aged men working the crowd, sometimes mentally disabled people. I'm happy that it's probably community ran! The inventory is really spontaneous, of course. If you chance and buy an item that doesn't fit, good luck. It's worth the trip even without a car, just don't let your kids bring their toys here cause anything you bring can be lost to the chaos of the store. Some items are ridiculously priced, ei a bike that's over $1,000 where you can go to mean jean at se salmon and se 15th and probably find one for a tenth of that. My biggest complaint is that you need loads of time to find specific side-quest items. It took me 2 hours to find pants and I still bought 4, half of them didn't fit so my success rate was 50% for a total trip of 5 hours. Because I don't own a car."
"Anything your mom and grandma have ever wanted, bought and later donated you can find here. From decor to kitchen items, books, clothes, old furniture, etc. the store is pretty big and all the prices are reasonable. A little too messy for my taste but a good place to find a good bargain. You have to go see it for yourself! I guarantee you’ll find something to take home."
"My fiance and I ALWAYS find some amazing items here and always at killer deals too! Not only endless designer items, but even some handmade and couture pieces. Usually fairly busy when I've gone, but I don't feel I'm fighting people for the good stuff. Killer deals on fantastic items aside, this store has one very major, nearly fatal flaw; this flaw is what takes the store from 5 stars to 3...This store is cash only...CASH ONLY?!?! REALLY?! I mean seriously, what year are we living in again?! Of course they have one of those shady, pay-per-use ATM near the door, which means at the end of every shopping trip, I'm using the calculator on my phone to add up the total, rounding to the next $20 increment, then plunking down for the $3 ATM usage fee. This equates to me paying for the pleasure of giving them my money. I really, really, really hate this! I can use a card at any food cart or street vendor in the city, but not at this business, which looks like it's been there since 1943? If they get with the times and add debit as a form of payment, I'll add the 2 stars back with joy in my heart, bringing the total to 5! However, so long as they run their checkout like a bodega in the projects, my rating remains at 3 stars. Still though, I'll keep going because of the items they sell!"
