About the Museum of American Porcelain Art
The Museum of American Porcelain Art (MAPA) is a unique institution located at 4645 Mayfield Road in South Euclid, Ohio. It is the only museum of its kind, dedicated to preserving and sharing the exquisite porcelain art produced by renowned studios such as Edward Marshall Boehm, Boleslaw Cybis, Laszlo Ispanky, Burgues, and Bronn Fine China, Ltd. These studios were prominent in the mid-20th century and closed their doors by the early 2000s.
Housed in the historic William E. Telling Mansion, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, MAPA offers a glimpse into the art and architecture of these iconic porcelain studios. The mansion, formerly the South Euclid-Lyndhurst branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library system, is also designated as an Ohio Landmark and a South Euclid Landmark.
MAPA strives to create a welcoming and enriching space for the community and visitors to Northeast Ohio. Come explore the beauty and craftsmanship of American porcelain art at the Museum of American Porcelain Art.

Reviews of Museum of American Porcelain Art
"This is Cleveland’s best kept secret. It is so beautiful and interesting. Not only the porcelain art but the building & grounds as well. I’ve told everyone I know to visit, they have and then told their friends. It’s a must see!"
"So glad we visited! Their staff is the nicest and so welcoming and knowledgeable about this beautiful art form. Very well curated. And as someone who grew up going to the mansion the museum is in when it was a library, it was so wonderful to see how the space has both stayed the same and been developed. If you’re in Cleveland and want to make a quick museum visit of about 30-60 minutes please stop by!"
"I enjoyed the MAPA way more than I anticipated. Beautiful pieces of art with the bird sculptures being my favorites. The Telling estate is worth the visit in its own right. Highly recommended."
"Really a unique and breathtaking museum, starting with the building itself, which has a rich history! The porcelain pieces themselves are unlike anything you’ll see in an antique store or sold online. Absolutely worth the trip!"
"Without knowing much about the museum or porcelain I did not know if I would enjoy the museum... But let me tell you it is so worth it! The museum begins with a video about the long and delicate process of making naturalistic porcelain statues and from there you can explore the first floor that is full with gorgeous and intricate figurines, from the Boehm section of realistic animals, to a section of flowers and figurines of fairy tale characters. There are plenty of figures with something for anyone interested in the arts. While the inside if the museum is full of porcelain art, is the building itself a beautiful English Tudor and French Normandy Stile mansion that is itself worth the visit if you're in the area. Our Tour guide was friendly and very helpful about the art and the mansion. 10/10 will visit again"
