Silver Lake Childcare

"My family have been at the center since I was a teenager. I'd like to consider this entire building a part of the family. Not only did I use to get a tan, or my hair done, buy a coffee and be driven to a concert with the limo service, this center and the building owner have been in my family for over 20 years. I have 4 children ALL of which have attended here, 13 years to be exact. My 18 year old is still adored by the childcare owner, my other younger two boys, now 13 and 12 can be found in their wall collages as infants, and my now 5 year old daughter still attends. I have always been treated like family, donated clothes, and shoes for her, as well as I have donated in the past because of how much love and attention my children and I continue to receive. They have been so accommodating during COVID, and other slight illnesses we've experienced, and never had turned away a family. The women there haven't been thanked enough, just for being who they are, kind, loving, patient, understanding, professional in care, and attending to my children and my needs. Never will I ever no matter the cost, will I choose another center. And thanks to great technology now, I can pay my tuition, communicate with staff, and receive awesome pics and videos of her time there. I love this ohana, family forever.. Aloha!"

"I do not recommend this center. My child was sent home with multiple blowouts in 1 week, I requested the diaper logs to see when they were changing him, never received them. Frequent incidents with reports, when I would ask for more information it was unavailable. The director gatekeeps the teachers from the parents, and does not encourage/allow access to the classrooms. No security camera's. Unempathetic staff whom shamed my child in front of my child. My kiddo was hit by another child's toy right in front of me, and when he came to tell me what happened the teacher tried to cut him off and say were you playing too hard? Staff lack adequate training. The teachers do not interact with the children. My child was reporting being hit, or other children sending him to time out. My child was teased and came home with pretty gross language. The teachers would always deny anything happened. The assistant director would ignore me at pick up's and ask other teachers to greet me after voicing my concerns. She cold shouldered me, and refused to communicate with me. It was retaliatory. When I attempted to tell her I was not being communicated with, she tried arguing and denying. If I can't trust you to communicate respectfully, and consistently about my child then I cannot trust you with my child. It is borderline neglectful here. Do not send young sensitive children here, or kiddo's on the spectrum. As my child is, and he suffered here."
