Pelican Suites at Seattle Pioneer Square

"I had to cancel my stay with 7 month notice (due to COVID) and have been waiting for 11 months for my deposit ($250 USD) back. I have been promised it is coming more than 10 times but it never comes. Beyond frustrated with this company and will continue to email them requesting my refund and posting reviews about my poor experience until I get my money back."

"Absolutely, horrible experience with this property the other night. I made my reservation through Priceline and prepay, hours later I get a message stating there is a problem with my credit card (which I know there isn't). I call give them another credit card, they tell me that credit card was denied also and now my reservation has been cancelled. I go back online make another reservation and prepay with my original credit card on file no problem."

"Very dissatisfied with my stay, unit looked exactly like pictured which is a lovely apartment. Unfortunately the unit was not cleaned upon our arrival, the sheets had not been cleaned the bed was just remade from the previous guest (there were many hairs in the bed). The oven was filthy. Emailed and spoke to people to try and get things sorted, they changed the bed sheets for us although they did not care how it affected our stay. We tried reaching out to have the other problems sorted out although they just stopped replying to my emails and when you call you get someone from a different city which make communication very complicated. I would not recommend, nor would I stay again myself."

"We had booked our stay with pelican many weeks prior to our arrival; Upon arrival after waiting for a key for about 2 hours we were informed that our room was NOT available due to previous damages. Myself and 3 others were left without a place to stay on a busy football weekend in seattle. They had no sympathy and did nothing to accomidate us. In the end we had to pay more than DOUBLE the cost for a hotel that was not in the location we had planned for. This was truly the worst experience any of us have ever dealt with. Had Pelican suites communicated and been transparent prior to our arrival we could have been prepared to look for alternate accomadation. We have never witnessed such unprofessionalism by a company before. ***AVOID BOOKING WITH PELICAN***"

"The apartment was nice enough but the building was dirty. The elevators smelled very bad. The location is good and bad. Right on the edge where vibrant Downton meets the slums . There were tents set up everywhere on the side walks which were uncomfortable to walk around.. apparently they are not considered homeless if they have a shelter so appear not to be helped by social agencies. There was very easy access to anything though. I certainly would not go out at night alone. The price was very good as seattle is very expensive . I am not sure why as the poverty was hard to see . All in all good apartment. Very responsive management but dicey location"
