"At first when I went to this place many years ago I too encountered rude customer service. And at times no one even answered the phone. It seems that throughout the years it has gotten better. I know this organization is primarily run by volunteers and most of them are seniors and volunteers are very hard to come by and people just don't want to do this type of thing anymore. So it's hard to get people who don't drive or don't drive long distances to their appointments they have to find other ways. I had a complaint and when I did call these folks to explain what it was, the person on the other end of the phone at the office seemed to be very angry at me. I won't use or recommend this agency again."
"The miracle and wonders they're able to perform is a direct result from the generous donations from those in this community. If you or someone you know has medical equipment or medical supplies. This is a great place to donate. People like myself would be lost without them. Thank you ECCHO. I was able to regain my independence by receiving the wheelchair. I am forever grateful and hopes to donate once I recover. Lots of ❤❤❤"
"85 yr old mother in law fell, broke her hip, next day had complete hip replacement. We called Tues to get help for her with walker etc. Left msg and they never called back."
"Dr's say I needed a medical device but my insurance would only cover "X" amount & being on a very fixed income ECHHO was there to change that "X" into a "Yes" for that device!!! A Huge Thanks to Walt also for helping me to getting it into my car too!!!!"
"I've received equipment from this organization many times. Having family members with special needs, ECHHO makes it possible for them to have a comfortable stay while visiting. ECHHO loans out wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, bath seats, commodes, hospital beds and other items free of charge to anyone who needs them for as long as you need them. ECHHO also has volunteer driver who take people to doctor's appointments if needed, and not just appointments here in town, they will drive to Seattle if needed. This is a wonderful organization in our small community. Thank you for all you do!"
