Reviews of The New School at Chambers Bay
"I have visited this school several times. As a childcare provider myself, I was impressed at the cleanliness, professionalism, organization, and warm/loving teachers. I love the platform used to communicate with parents and document the student’s day. If I had small children, this is where I would send them to preschool."
"We had a fabulous experience with The New School. The staff was super welcoming and supportive for first-time daycare parents. Would highly recommend to parents looking for a nurturing experience for their little one!"
"The good, the bad and the ugly. New facility. In a safe area. Extremely disappointed in the outcome at this daycare. Initially it started off fairly well but we quickly began to notice red flags and hidden issues that are plaguing the daycare. The serious problems are from the top down. Widespread nepotism, and lack of staff accountability. Excessive turnover with unhappy staff. Favoring of specific families that have friendships with staff/management which makes it uncomfortable for the families that do not receive this same special treatment. Grace is only given to the special families. The daycare is not setup or equipped to support children with disabilities, but they still accept children with disabilities at the daycare knowing they cannot provide the proper care or services. The teachers and staff do not have enough training or patience to work with children with disabilities. Staff will message you through the daycare app about every little issue involving your child. Not to keep you informed but in hopes that you will drop everything you are doing and come pick up your child and save them the hassle of running a child care facility they are paid to do. Unprofessional communication with parents. The administrator chooses the path of least resistance verses addressing ongoing issues with parents in person. The administrator will communicate 99% via chat over the daycares app while avoiding face to face contact as much as possible. It all comes down to this being a professional business and the current administrator’s are not experienced or educated enough to be running a business of this caliber. They do not practice what they preach. Please do not just take our word for it. This is only our families personal experiences. We encourage you to do your research first and check out other reviews for the daycare. Not just the ones the daycare management, managements family and friends post to boost their rating. If you value your family and how they are treated and cared for, I would not recommend this daycare. Sincerely a concerned family."
"We love The New School at Chambers Bay! We have experienced exceptional teachers in each classroom. The balance of learning and play is great. I feel safe leaving my child here knowing they will be loved and nurtured."
"I was so excited to start over with my son in Washington, when I enrolled him at this school I explained our DV situation and we signed forms stating they would not post my son on social media, once they found out accepting DSHS payments meant they would be making less money they tried so hard to get me to pull my son from the school, they filed a false cps report that was closed VERY quickly, and even posted a picture of my son on Instagram that I was unaware of until my abuser found it and found our location, thanks again Maddie! ❤️"
