"Something for everyone here! Gorgeous seashell exhibit! Nice indigenous peoples exhibit as well. A lot of local history. FREE admission, accepting donations. Only open M-F 11a-3p. Enjoy!"
"Really interesting museum. It does a very good job of relating interesting stories about the history of the area. It deals mostly with, well, missiles because, the name. But there is interesting pirate history as well as some natural history of the island. Some really neat souvenirs as well."
"A hidden gem for locals and vacationers alike! They do a great job of highlighting rich North Carolina history and small town contributions to major causes. Before Cape Canaveral became famous for rockets, there was the Salt Spit. Stop by and see why. You'll be glad you did! Donations accepted"
"Great little free museum to learn about local history. Included are mementos and videos of the building and its' place in the development of the US missile program, and information on World War II and this area. Of interest is the story of women pilots during the war and the kinds of things they went through. Be sure to watch the video interview from one of them. There are some early missiles, and even stories of local pirates. It doesn't take too long to see everything, and it's worth a side trip while you're in the area."
"Second time visiting the museum. My favorite thing to do when visiting a town is to learn about the history of the area, and Topsail doesn't disappoint! Greeters at the front desk make you feel welcome and give you an overview of the town and museum. Its a small place but loaded with history."
