Reviews of Historic Durham Athletic Park
"A mecca for any baseball fan. It is pretty much unchanged from its glory days, but is still immaculately maintained. You can only get in if there is an event or a game happening."
"This is a beautiful ball field in a classic stadium. The playing field is immaculate and well-maintained by a dedicated grounds crew. Home of the Durham Bulls for many years and one of the locations where they filmed the movie "Bull Durham". Field now hosts a variety of high school, college, and other games."
"I coach a travel baseball team from Ohio and we got a chance to play a game here. What an awesome experience! The field was in great shape and the kids had a blast. Definitely recommend this if you get a chance to play here."
"Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains... and sometime if you're in Durham, you should visit the historic Durham Athletic Park. Prior home to the Durham Bulls minor league team, this is also the filming location for the movie "Bull Durham". While the Bulls have changed homes, college baseball is still played here. If you're a baseball fan, if you're a "Bull Durham" fan, then you should visit if only to see where it all happened. It'll be as if you dipped yourself in magic waters, and the memories will be so thick you'll have to brush them away from your face (wrong movie, I know, but very applicable)."
"Great baseball experience for avid fans. Go see NCCU play for free. Bring your own concessions."
