"I've been coming here since I moved to the area, 8yrs ago. Dr Turin is kind, thoughtful, and always takes the time to explain how the eye works; and why my own eyes do the annoying things they do. He also asks about & takes the time to listen to details about my life and environmental factors that may be impacting my vision, while offering guidance around behavioral things I can do to strain my eyes less, relieve fatigue, etc. Without telling me to just stop doing stuff. Not at all the "In-n-out!" kind of service insurance providers pressure many doctors to offer. Catherine the office manager spent a FULL HOUR with me last year, teaching and patiently coaching me with how to do contact lenses. She's a great teacher, and was an encouraging and empathetic coach throughout that experience. She also didn't try to pressure me, at all, into going with contacts—and in the end, totally respected my desire to give-up and give-in to my discomfort with touching my eyeballs (they're GRODY!). No, they're not as cheap as Costco, but they do work hard at squeezing every penny they can from insurers—and then taking the time to patiently explain the costs, while guiding me in where to cut. They don't want to squeeze folks. I've been to those places. That isn't this business. An inclusive, thoughtful, and very human practice made of good folks, that I highly recommend."
