Reviews of Buckeye Telephone Museum
"Great place, lots of history."
"What an interesting place! Everything and anything to do with telephones! And although you may not think it, there's so much history and information that you don't know that will simply WOW you! You do need to make a reservation, and you'll need about 1.5 hours. Totally worth a stop!"
"What a gem! I found this place looking for somewhere to take my second grader to learn about the history of telephones for a school project! John opened the place up for us and he was filled with so much knowledge and history of the telephone industry. My son (5th grade) and daughter (2nd grade) had a fantastic time and learned a lot! There are two rooms to go through, but they are filled to the brim with telephone history, and with John talking us through a lot of the pieces, it took us about an hour to walk through. If you are headed into the Marion area, I highly recommend making this a stop along the way. I am so glad my kids and I were able to experience this! They both asked to go back again!"
"This is a great museum for people who like telephones. I liked it a lot. The Amish might be offended by it though."
"I discovered the Buckeye Telephone Museum when I was looking online for a place to donate my great aunt Alice's telephone memorabilia. She was an Ohio Bell telephone operator for 33 years. They let her keep her operator chair and headset. She also had several pieces of jewelry that she had been given for years of service. I donated it all to the museum and was so happy to have found a "home" for her memories. The museum is run by volunteers who are former employees of the phone company. It is by appointment only, and they request a $2 donation. It is well worth it for the trip down memory lane. I LOVED seeing all the old phones and the volunteer who opened up the museum for me was very informative about all the equipment and the history. This is a great place for a field trip!"
