"We were very excited to build in this community after meeting with the sales agents. The floor plan we chose was perfect for our growing family and we were told that the lot we wanted would be available in December/January. In order to begin the building process we would have to be under contract on our current home so we got everything together and found a buyer. Once we returned to the community to talk about the next steps we were informed that the builder had decided to start developing the other entrance to the neighborhood. The lot we were interested in was now expected to be available in the last phase of development, likely 1 1/2-2 years from now. On three different occasions, with two separate sales agents, we were told we would be able to build the home we wanted on the lot we wanted and now that we are under contract on our home we have nowhere to go. The builder, and their sales team, should have known what their building plan was from the beginning and should communicate that with potential buyers. Unfortunately we were misled, hopefully this doesn’t happen to others."
