Robeson County, named after Col. Thomas Robeson of Tar Heel, a hero of the Revolutionary War, is a county in the southern part of North Carolina with a population of 116,530 as of the 2020 census. The county seat is Lumberton, where the institution is based.
The Annual Membership Dinner of Historic Robeson, Inc. will be held on March 14, 2024, at 6:30pm at Adelio's in Lumberton. The institution welcomes both existing and potential new members to join the event.
Recently, Historic Robeson, Inc. completed a mural dedicated to the rich history of Robeson County. The mural was painted by local artist Lacey Crimes, who skillfully brought the vision to life. Special thanks are extended to Lumberton’s Visitors Bureau, the City of Lumberton, and the Robeson County Arts Council for their support in making the mural a reality.
