"I ride at least once a month from the Hamlet station and it’s always peaceful, not a lot of people, and is always clean. You barely see anyone out there that works with Amtrak until the train is about to pull up. But I love this little country station. It’s so much better than Penn Station in NY lol"
"There is a museum. There are art exhibits and food trucks. Nice spacious searing areas. Angie have me a brief synopsis in the museum that I appreciated. There was an attendant that was so helpful and attentive in giving information, as we were all slightly anxious due to a more than 7 hour delay.Thefe was beautiful red caboose not in use but visible for adoration by kids and adults alike"
"Well, don't have too much to say because they were not open during their posted hours and neither answered their phone number for access on a Saturday afternoon in April. Call ahead to see if they will be open. It's a pretty building on the outside, would have been nice to have seen the inside though. **** Upon visiting months later, things seem to have changed! Facilities open and staffed by helpful, friendly folks. A nice stop on a daytrip"
