"Wonderful& unique main street businesses with friendly merchants and great prices. An all day shopping experience that you don't want to miss."
"Such a great little historical town with so many outdoor activities nearby. Lakes, waterfalls, fishing, hiking, mountain biking... And within an hour's drive to tourist destinations like Highlands NC, Helen GA and of course Clemson! Not to mention the best pizza we have had since we left WA state"
"Welcome to Walhalla, it’s a quaint town nestled at the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains! We have multiple kinds of shops! Many buildings dated from 1850’s, the Lutheran church is one! As you come to the city you see the mountains rise ahead of you! From German decedents the name Valhalla means “the garden of the gods”. Come , see us in October, when we celebrate “Octoberfest” and see the fall colors of the mountains. We have many hiking trails, falls and lakes near us! So come see us!"
"My family has had a lake home above Walhalla since the 60's and we have enjoyed Saturdays in downtown over the years. Just this October we took the walking tour and learned all about the founding of the town and the history of Walhalla. Such an interesting history and small town. If you find yourself on Hwy 28 heading up the mountain, stop in town and look around."
