"There’s a lot to do at Biltmore. The house is only part of it. There were real Monet paintings inside I hadn’t noticed before. The gardens are beautifully kept. I am astounded by the size of the red honeysuckle vines. The grotesques and gargoyles are fun to look at and study. Gift shops have all kinds of things to choose from. There’s places to eat, a reflection lake, and sunflower field, a petting zoo, and lots more too!"
"I enjoyed the step back in time. The period workmanship is incredible. A bit pricey for what it is but I understand the poor Vanderbilt's are hurting for the extra cash tor the upkeep. The staff seemed friendly. It's half the price of Disney admission just for a look-see. It was off season so the gardens were dead and half of it was closed and yet there were many visitors. Any more and it would have been miserable. Once in a lifetime for me. I don't see the lure in ever doing it again so Google can back off with the Biltmore ads in my YouTube feed. I never saw one video about Biltmore until after I went. Now my YouTube is filled with ads for Biltmore. I'm a peasant and like with the Walton's my brain doesn't comprehend how people amass that much money. My dollars are hard earned so it was actually depressing."
"Great visit to the Biltmore Estates and all of the offerings of this massive property (approximately 8,000 acres). The Biltmore mansion is very impressive given that it is the largest private residence in the US. Although no one lives there anymore, it is still owned by the family and not owned by a government agency. It was amazing to see the vision of Mr. Biltmore for this structure and property. HE was truly ahead of this time. This can be an educational and pleasure visit and you won't be disappointed if you are into history and vision. Great for the family or couple because you can even picnic on property at certain locations. If you can go during the Christmas season, it is surely a spectacle. Happy visiting!"
"Such a unique and interesting place to visit. We wanted to experience the estate during the holidays to see the decorations. It was a lovely evening. The house tours show off different areas from time to time. The gardens are best in spring and summer, but it was still pleasant to walk around and out to the waterfall. We had a picnic and watched Canadian geese on the pond."
"Always a favorite at Christmas time but love to go any time of year. If it fits your budget...get an upgrade on your ticket for a season pass! We've done this for 11 years now and so glad we did. Staff is friendly and so knowledgeable. We love the winery as well. Lots of great food options for a delicious meal. You can't go wrong with any. And the coffee is always perfect at the bakeries!"
