"The outside of this museum is hiding an absolute wealth of information! My husband and I went in and we discovered not only artifacts and pieces of various wars but the volunteers added so much more. We loved hearing their insight and stories and it brought it to life. We highly recommend visiting this museum and all it has to offer."
"I had no idea that Brevard had such a fantastic veterans museum. I have had the privilege to work with many of the volunteers at the Veterans Museum of the Carolinas and can attest that they are to most dedicated and kind people you could meet anywhere and the museum is full of fascinating artifacts that are organized and displayed with great care. I worked closely with the curators to create a video series to help visitors understand the conflicts and explain some of the artifacts on display. The entire project was a joy and I am proud to have been able to support the great work of the museum. I highly recommend visiting and supporting The Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas."
"What a wonderful place to vist on Veterans Day! You will see memorabilia from ajj our wars, not just weapons and uniforms, but other items that were part of the GI's everyday life. There is even an area that highlights the chaplain's kit. You will learn a lot about the progression of tha military in war."
"My 15 year old grandson is interested in World War 1. I was excited to see that this museum was just 15 minutes from our home. Each branch of service has their own room as well as each war or conflict. The volunteers are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. If you love history and would like to pay your respects to service members past and present. Stop by this little museum."
"This free museum is a hidden gem. The passionate volunteers gave us a personal tour and personal insights from their own lives which just added to the great experience. They have an amazingly diverse collection of unique and well curated artifacts, mementos and historic items. Individual rooms commemorate the history of wars from WWI to present day conflicts. The videos that play in each room are professional and help bring to life the history. Some items are rare and one of a kind like a swatch of fabric and brick from Hitler's Eagle Nest Hideout. Don't miss the full size 1943 Jeep. Wall of remembrance is moving and provides a way to help fund museum operations. Make it a part of your day in downtown Brevard."
