Reviews of Blue Ridge Parkway - South End
"Beautiful place, the river is close so you can stop by and sit for awhile or go wading in the ice cold mountain water. Watch the fly fishermen fish for trout."
"The parkway was beautiful. It's unfortunate that we had to miss part of it because the parks department had to close it because stupid people couldn't leave the bears alone. Humans put wildlife in danger. They should be ashamed."
"Blue Ridge Parkway is a must-visit in Great Smoky Mountains NP! This 469-mile long road links Shenandoah NP and Smoky Mountains NP. The road offers stunning fall foliage and majestic mountain views. The scenic drive is pure relaxation. Didn't do the whole road, but loved the colorful autumn delight! Highly recommended."
"The Blue Ridge Parkway is a very nice place to ride and see the wild animals, mountain views, and I really love the tunnels. We drove it from Cherokee North Carolina to Pigeon Forge Tennessee to pick up a set of aluminum mags we bought off eBay. I'm so glad we made the ride instead of paying shipping. The views were beautiful and we saw elk close to Cherokee for the first time in my life. We'll be going back again pretty soon, so much to see there it'll take a few days to check it all out."
"99% of the time, the speed limit was 45 mph. I averaged about 35 mph. There is so much to see, and a bunch more to do. Although it would be fun to go as a family, and romantic to go with your spouse, I suggest playing some old country music and going by yourself! The views are breath taking! Right now the rhododendrons are blooming. They are so plentiful you can smell them as you go through certain sections of the parkway. Because of the views, smells, and sounds, I actually got goose bumps in several locations."
