"There are so many places you have to see. And one of them Mingus Mill. Fresh and clean as a nature!"
"I have grown up visiting Mingus Mill. A very much still working grist mill located just outside of Cherokee, NC. The beautiful creek runs down the mountain and into troughs and into the power that is the muscle of this beautiful piece of history. Today, my oldest daughter and I watched 6 moose walk by as we left."
"Very nice place to stop and view. Amazing what people did before electricity."
"Loved this place. Old grinding mill from 1800s. Cut the water flow from a small creek upper area and made a water trough for water to feed the mill. Great place for picture taken."
"The Mingus Mill display is really nice. The mill building is a short walk from the parking area. The 1886 building has been restored but unfortunately was not open for us to enter on the day we visited. The wooden water chute is interesting to see. There is also a very clean restrooms building at the parking area. A nice stop on a beautiful road."
