"Yes, this is a budget hotel. But the fact that the rooms weren’t clean and the entire place smelled like an unfortunate mix of moth balls and an expired powdery perfume made it a terrible experience. Not to mention the beds are hard as rock, the fire alarm down the hallway kept going off, the rooms are extremely outdated, carpets are stained, coffee pot in our room was filthy, and the styrofoam cups they give you were literally used and not in their original packaging. EW. Does budget automatically mean you have to skimp on cleanliness these days? This is the type of place that you’d catch bedbugs from. Will not be coming within 20 ft of this place ever again"

"Very friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating when a traffic accident forced a last-minute itinerary change. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. Most welcomed was a full-size desk. Not only for business, but also for the kiddos to spread out their toys. The property is located very close to the "main drag" of the Marina District so while dining options are convenient and plentiful, because the hotel is located one street over there is very little traffic noise. Also convenient is the small grocery store right across the street. The hotel is about a three-minute walk from the Des Moines Marina, so a nice sunset walk along the waterfront is only a short distance away. Overall, a very pleasant experience."

"Stayed here prior to boarding cruise ship. Handicap room was large and easily accessible. Bed was large and comfortable. The room was very quiet. I also have to mention the check-in process was easy and the staff were friendly and professional. Definitely a good choice for lodging when you are in this area."

"Stayed at this Inn last night. It was very clean and the continental breakfast was awesome. The best part though was one staff member - Gabriella! She was friendly and helpful and went over and above to make sure we were comfortable! Would definitely recommend."

"We had two nights booked at this hotel and only stayed one. When we got there we checked in and we’re told to come back at 3 and our room would be ready. We got there at 4 and the door was open and the maid cart was in front of the door. Once we finally got into the room it was dirty. The sheets had hair on them, there was crumbs all over and just a lot of places you could tell were not cleaned for a while. The chair in the room was covered in ants. During the night people were running up and down the halls and setting off the fire alarm multiple times and there were people sitting outside in a group with a cooler hanging out and being loud. The only good thing about this stay is that we’re we’re able to get our money back for the second night so we could find a better hotel to stay at."
