Brooksbrae Brick Factory

"If you plan to visit, please bring a trash bag and some gloves and help clean up this site. Lots of beer and paint cans scattered about. Would be great if everyone would pitch in and help a little. Old abandoned brick factory from the early 20th century. Supposedly burned down after a chimney fire on the property. Lots of graffiti art, many have mixed opinions on it. I think it's beautiful, but keep it to the structural remains. Lots of trees painted/knocked over."

"Not sure of the history of this place, but in its current state, it looks like a ghetto. What a shame people have to treat this historical site like this. Probably hundreds of empty spray paint cans littering the site. If you're going to make graffiti, at least clean up your mess. What a travesty."

"An extra stop on way to Franklin Parker Preserve. I had been here before so it didn't have the same sense of amazement. There are trails if you continue past. Note: You have to pay attention or you will pass right on by. Look for the graffiti in the road. Parking is on side of road, no parking lot."
