"Nice and cozy park located near independence hall. Plenty of big trees providing shade for hanging out, many benches for sitting. No access to any of the buildings from the park. Street paid parking."

"Independence Square is a lovely park located in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia. Plenty of shade from the elder trees situated throughout the square and several benches for sitting. The buildings, Independence Hall, Congress Hall, and Old City Hall are gated so unless one enters from the front ticketed entrance, there is no approaching the building. No food available in the park but plenty of nearby restaurants and cafes within walking distance. Two cafe gems within a short walk are Talula’s on West Washington Square and Frieda’s on Walnut Street."

"Great park containing some of the most important historic sites of our nation! Independence Hall, Congress Hall and the “Great Essentials” can be toured by accessing free tickets a block North at the Visitor’s Center."

"Very pretty little park. Part of the Independence National Park. It contains several historic landmarks such as Independence Hall, Congress Hall and Old City Hall, which require free tickets. The paths in the park are shaped like a peace sign."
