"Old building, not the warmest of staff/members. But it is what it is. Left today having not played pickleball when I thought I'd be here ballin playing pickleball on my day off for my birthday. Left to get a massage and calm down."
"We take kids swimming group class at Mill Creek YMCA and taking private swimming class here in Mukilteo YMCA. Today absolutely frustrated with a young lady working in the front desk, my son forgot his swimming goggles at here 2 weeks ago after a private swimming lesson. We were here today for another lesson, I asked front desk for lost&found, she asked how the goggles look like ( to be honest I don’t know how to specifically describe a kiddo’s swimming goggle because it’s just a normal google) I said, blue-ish, might be speedo? She came out with 2 goggles but unfortunately they weren’t ours, I asked if we can borrow one just for the class and gave it back afterward, she said no. I also understand there might be rules around that but once at Mill Creek YMCA when my son forgot to bring his goggle we can easily borrow one from front desk from the lost & found basket ( and that same from other gym we been to, GoldGYM woodinvill, you know, kiddos) such thing really not a big deal in my opinion, no need to be harsh and cold especially this positions as a community, YMCA mill creek is so much nicer in such experience. I also asked another question about how can we schedule more private classes online with a particular coach for Feb since we don’t see any of her availability shown for Feb, she gave me such a cold answer- I have to purchase/ register classes online, I don’t think she really listened to me… I’m so frustrated felt she just having a bad mood today, I had to chat with another boy working on the front desk, totally addressed my question, thank you!"
"Overall good enough YMCA if you live nearby and don't want to drive. My son enjoys the kid zone. The pool in particular is the worst I have used for family/open swim. Instead of being shallow to deep lengthwise, it goes widthwise. So, the 1/3 of the pool available for open swim is entirely on 3 feet deep and the lap lanes are 3- 5 feet. It is not very fun if you are a parent hanging out with your kids, or for older kids I imagine. The playground is basically the best playground in Mukilteo. The only thing is it is sporadically open. I was told it was open sunup to sundown, unless raining, but even on dry days around 11 it is closed. It is fenced off so if you don't have a membership you cannot use either."
"We take our kids swimming here. Its basically what you would expect from a YMCA, there is a membership fee, then additional fees for classes. You need to be quick to register otherwise the classes will fill up. The instructors are patient, im sure working with up to 6 little kids who dont want to pay attention can be exhausting, but they are patient. it can feel like there isnt much 1:1 teaching, because there are other kids, but thats part of having a bunch of kids in a class and everyone does get a turn. Overall our kids have gotten much more comfortable with swimming and being in the water. the classes are after school which works well. The facilities are clean and there is a decent parking lot and decent changing rooms. The outside playground is fun for kids to play on before swim lessons. You will need to badge in at the front desk to get into the facilities."
"It opens at 8 a.m. on Sundays Miss Peggy was very nice she makes the best coffee and it's free! They have an awesome pool the showers are private you can pull a curtain with soap shampoo and conditioner also provide you with towels and a small locker for your belongings one of the best I've been to in the Pacific Northwest if not the best one thanks for letting me review and may God bless all the works of your hands!"
