Reviews of Gregory Creek Homestead
"Great way to spend some time outdoors. The homestead is cool to see, looks like something right out of "The Witch", and there's the Gregory Creek Trailhead right there as well if you are up to walking/biking a trail. Awesome little find in Statesville for sure."
"I attended a living history weekend which was very good. The weekend because it was the start of school focused on children and their activities. The volunteers were quite instructful. There is a good collection of houses forming that were brought from all over the county. I only wish signs had been put on the houses to tell who's they were what they were and how they would have fit into a farmstead. I do not know if the side has connected at all to fort Dobbs, but it seems the two sides could work together since they both interpret history of the area."
"Nice little walk around the village. It was closed and no demonstration or seeing the interior of the building. It's dogfriendly. The parking lot is across the street. Following the zebra crossing and the wooden bridge to safely get to the village area."
"They have some washed out areas on the trail from all the flooding, but you can still walk it... wear old shoes that can get muddy."
"Just drove by but it was very beautiful from the road"
