"City museum in old mansion in city Park. Patron membership opportunity and gift store. Permanent and rotating collections in multiple rooms coupled with initial receptions at openings to membership and general public on second day. Annual membership under $50 per individual. Additional events priced per event or goodwill donation solicited. Friendly atmosphere mostly female members five minutes from my residence of 38 years. Open mike nites and historical lectures but predominantly art collection of paintings in various mediums augmented by sculptures."
"Upon Arrival I Felt an Elevated Sense of An Ancestral Presence! The Museum Itself Has a Grandeur Imagery That is Absolutely Breathtaking! Once inside I Was Amazed by The Unique Blend of Past & Present Decor. I Need To Return There To Make Sure.. It was not A Dream ❤️ p.s The Staff Were Top Notch.. Indeed!"
"Attended an artisans holiday fair at this location and toured the museum. Very worthwhile! I learned much history surrounding Trenton and enjoyed the look back in time. I especially loved the window shades in the upstairs area that were duplicated photos reprinted from back in the day. I’ll post a photo below. Lastly, while entry today was free, they appreciate donations!"
"Such a great spot! I highly recommend stopping bye. If you need a nice gift, their shop has something for everyone. They also have a great collection of Trenton pottery. Also take a moment to walk around the park. If you want a good weekend trip, go-to artworks, the state museum, and here! Last I should also recommend coming here when ever the seasons change, the landscaping of this park it's amazing!"
"We attended for an African Mask Making workshop. It was a fun event and staff/volunteers were extremely helpful with gluing and recommendations for structuring your art. You were able to touch other actual art mask with white gloves and there was an African mask history book being passed around. Everyone was extremely friendly and introducing themselves. There were a ton of materials, snacks and family friendly from age 2-adults/couples. We were not able to see the entire museum but the grounds looked beautiful. Parking was convenient, park security at all entrances as well. After we explored the beautiful architecture of homes in neighborhood across the street afterwards (Calwaldere Heights I believe) that reminded my of my previous neighborhood NY. I would definitely recommend for families."
