"In this picture you can see in the background the hotel which is very old. The state of NC has taken over the care of the hotel, chapel and gym that has an Olympic size pool in the back. There are also small cabins on the property. There are several weddings to take place on the grounds. Friends of Sauratown Mt open up the frist weekend of the month for guided tours for $5.00 a person. What to do with this historic is unknown at this time."

"Worth the visit if you're heading to Hanging Rock state park. Quick little jaunt through history. Currently open the first weekend of the month."

"So glad this old place was saved by the state parks. Can't wait to see how they improve the property. Large pool on the property but due to parking issues it may be filled in."

"Facilities are open the first weekend of the month but trails are ok to access anytime (gate can be opened upon request). Trails are beautiful but buildings are depressing in their current state. Guided tours are recommended to explain how the land was used. Walking trails are a little over a mile and go along a stream and rock formations, odd camp ground relics and a mineral spring."
