Reviews of George Taylor House
"Okay so I was so lucky to have stumbled into the most kindest of volunteers who gave me an exclusive tour of George Taylor's House (a signer of The Decleration of Independence) it's a nice home with fascinating history. There are also volunteers dressed up to reenact the time period and add to the accurace of your expierience which is fun and exciting. *DON'T FORGET TO GO THIRSTY BECAUSE THERE IS A BREW HOUSE DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET!*"
"The home of George Taylor, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, has been preserved and offers tour. On my visit volunteers were participating in a "Living History Timeline". Tour guides were dressed in period costumes. If you enjoy ghosts and the paranormal, you may want to sign up for their paranormal investigation."
"Open from April to October by appointment, but is still worth it to observe the place from outside"
"Great place, great reenactors, great experience!!!! Truly well done. A step back into history."
"Grew up literally up the street from here. Fantastic landmark to be preserved but for tourists not familiar with the area - do not expect it to be open regularly for tours. However, in the 20 years I’ve lived in this area, Catasauqua does open it for some amazing events to look out for a couple times a year. Great for just walking close to as well. Really interesting building to view from the surrounding area and teach people you know about history, if you’ve done your research."
