Wildlands Conservancy Historic Boat House
About the Business
The Wildlands Conservancy Historic Boat House, located at 101 East Walnut Street in Allentown, Pennsylvania, offers a unique and educational paddling experience on the Lehigh River. Visitors can book a private Bike & Boat Adventure for their friends, school group, or corporate team. The adventure begins with a scenic 3.9-mile bike ride along the D&L Trail, where guides share the history of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor. Once at Canal Park, participants trade their bikes for canoes and paddle back down the river, surrounded by nature and wildlife. A stop on a natural river island allows for lunch, snacks, or even a campfire with smores. The trip offers views of the Bethlehem Steel Stacks and showcases the "metro-wilderness" of the urban Lehigh River. Private trips are available from May to October, with customizable experiences for groups of 10 to 26 participants. Whether for youth groups, student field trips, milestone celebrations, or teambuilding, the Bike & Boat Adventure offers a fun and memorable outdoor experience.

Reviews
"Located within the City of Allentown's Canal Park, the Historic Boathouse is used by the Wildlands Conservancy for their Bike and Boat program. The Conservancy keeps it's canoes and kayaks here to be used for Wildland's programs. Participants usually paddle 4.5 miles on the Lehigh River to Sand Island Park in Bethlehem, where the Conservancy maintains a trailer load of bicycles. Bike up the canal towpath and paddle a canoe back down the river. Contact Wildlands Conservancy to learn more."
