Reviews of Mountain View Elementary School
"We just moved here a couple of months ago. I read on here that someone had a problem with bullies, but I thought it was an isolated incident. My son told me that kids in his class bullied a boy so bad that his mom changed his schools. Now my son is being bullied for sticking up for the boy who left. The bullying at this school is NOT a joke."
"I'm in the 8th grade now, but I went to mountain view for 6 years. The teachers and the the two principles were amazing :) And i have a brother that went into 5th grade with the new principles and he said that it changed a whole lot. So my friends and I went to take a look and we noticed so many changes in the school and it really made us feel like our childhood was ripped away. We understand that there is change in life but painting on the walls taking away what made Mountain view ( the paw pledge ) that just hurt a ton of our feelings in the 8th grade. But other than the new principles we LOVE Mrs. Schofield she has always been one of the teachers to be there and teach us so much and Mrs. Steen oh lets not forget Mrs. Ybrow they taught us all so much they deserve a huge prize but we do miss elementary school a bunch so. " I'll be caring for my self and other i will be safe with my self and other i will be a responsible citizen i will ALWAYS DO MY BEST " thanks for taking that away we really don't appreciate it"
"I have been very disappointed with the school. From day one, since my son started kindergarten, he has had non-stop problems. It all started with him being bullied by other students in his class, and the teacher not doing anything to rectify the situation. The Bullying went on for months until I finally had enough and kept harassing the principal's there to get them to recognize what was going on. Then the bullies got smart and started setting my son up to get him in trouble, doing things and then blaming him for them. They also called my son cuss word names behind the teachers back, told him he should crawl off and die somewhere, and said other things like they are going to get him out of their school. So of course, he started acting up. The kindergarten teacher, ms. G, has a habit of telling him she is busy whenever he doesn't understand how to do something and goes to her for help. She constantly switching the kids around so that they are unable to form stable friendships. My son came to school one day and found his desk moved to the front of the room, where he was isolated from the other kids and facing the wall. Is that a way to treat a child? I tried to bring up my concerns with the principal, vice principal and counselor there, and they all believe my son is the problem. They refused to work with me and move him to a different classroom or approve his transfer to another school. Everytime I put in a transfer request they deny it. Do not put your kids in this school if you can avoid it, there is a lot of bullying, both from students and from staff. Since starting there, I have watched my son go from a very happy loving boy to a very somber child who hates himself and thinks he isn't good enough for anything."
"I love this school I've been going here since kindergarten and I love it staff and teachers are great and those people who tell lies and say crap about this school you can go shove a stick up your ### this school is great why in the world you need to be telling lies I mean I do hate mrs. Alyssa but that's it really I love this school"
