"Pediatrix is an unethical organization operating at the extremes of healthcare capitalism. We were referred here by our Pediatrician as an in-network provider (Mary Bridge) and have received an obscenely high bill for routine services, far exceeding the cost of these same services elsewhere. When we called to challenge the bill, we were simply told that Pediatrix looked at our out of pocket maximum for the year, and charged us an amount essentially to max out the out-of-pocket. They are not charging reasonable rates for the service provided, they are charging an arbitrary amount simply to maximize their invoice. This was about $8000 for two routine EKG’s and ultrasounds, or about $4000 per hour. Additionally, we were never given an invoice or estimate of charges to approve prior to the services being performed, so I think this is in violation of the no-surprises act. We brought this up to our pediatrician and she is shocked at the bill and appalled at the situation to the point where she referred us to a social worker to assist us in fighting. Eventually after months of fighting and horrible service by Pediatrix, they attempted to get me to waive my right to debate the bill by signing something that essentially was a form to not hold them liable for violating the no surprise act by calling it a “no surprises form” (which I did not sign). I was eventually able to get them to remove an arbitrary “admin fee” and reduce the bill by about $400. When researching Pediatrix, I have come across numerous articles of their predatory and unethical billing practices of new parents being slammed by surprise out-of-pocket bills from Pediatrix. There are numerous articles with similar stories about Pediatrix’s predatory practices. Looks like other reviewers have experienced similar painful situations. Shame on this organization and all who benefit from it."
"I had an appointment for my son here about a year ago and never received a bill in the mail from these people or any form of communication from what was due via email phone call etc. So I assumed everything was covered by my insurance( I have really good insurance btw) and this incompetent that do the billing for the place and are supposed to take the payment sent me to collections without notifying me first. This should be illegal. I’m going to pay the money that is not the problem never was the problem is I just want to let everybody that goes here know that they need to contact this place if anything is due because they aren’t contacting anyone apparently. Regarding the doctor visit as far as I remember that was fine the doctor performed his job correctly. A office run poorly"
"I want to thank this office for wasting my family's time. The day before the appointment, we were cleared to come after the check in phone call, only to show up and get turn away. We waited 30 days for this appointment, took leave, and wasted gas. Don't waste your time on these hacks"
"If I could give zero stars, I would. This clinic has went downhill throughout the last year or so. My daughter has been a patient for 16 years, but the experiences recently have made me do a complete 180 with how I view this clinic and how they handle the practice. First let me say this, they never answer the phones or call back. Your child could have a serious issue going on and the communication is zero. Don't try to go and make a complaint to the practice manager because the issues will not be resolved. I feel my child's condition has been pushed to the back burner and it is not right when dealing with the importance of a person's heart.They stopped calling me after results of a halter monitor and didn't send results to the PCP. It got to the point where even the primary care doctor had to make decisions regarding my kids heart and medicine because the cardiologist was hard to get a hold of. NOT OK! I got a referral else where, if we don't advocate for our kids who will? Not this clinic. Time to have some serious training for the "call center" nurse Jen needs to not bring personal attitudes to work because of what's going on at home, Dr. Mcclousky needs to retire because he lost his passion and empathy for the line of work he is in, they need to revamp the whole practice and better train the schedulers."
