"Back in the day it was a spot to be seen, known, and experience. The orginal family were amazing, he had a dream and made it come true by building this for others to see enjoy. He took great pleasure in not only showing off his creation but explaining the history and actually showing how it worked. Making flower and corn meal to sell at the gift shop. When he was forced to put "not safe for human consumption" he was hurt but stayed true to show and teaching his love of windmills. Good thing in the 1990s a young man wrote a report to get this site as a historical and cant be removed. Its in rough shape but still standing. It was the heart of the area but once was bought up by an xmas tree company. It became an after thought."

"This is a really interesting experience riding by bicycle up to the Windmill. It's quite a challenging climb but the view of the Windmill and surrounding landscape is a sweet reward. I visited on a very hot day and was pleasantly surprised that the location is actually windy. I would like if a benefactor could restore it."
