"First thing I'll say is I've been in a lot worse roach motels than this place. That being said, while the place is in need of a really good cleaning and paint, the rooms were surprisingly somewhat acceptable. The place could use an old fashion police raid to round up the usual drug dealers and thieves. The one good thing about the place is there is a strip club next door."
"Rodeway Inn and suites are actually located,I strongly believe,in a very warm location, nearby the sunset TC. The bus stops in either direction just outside. My Room was quite comfortable The TV and the ironing board were convenient. The refrigerator service was most elegant,as I'm diabetic, thanks! Lastly, the showers were great, again thank you rodeway Inn and suites.... pleased with the hospitality=(A+)!!!!!"
"The hotel description is incorrect. It says coffee is available in the lobby throughout the day and it includes breakfast. Not true. The coffee maker had plants on it as decoration and there was no breakfast. No coffee maker in the room either. We arrived for check in at 1050 pm. When we were checking in a couple who looked to be down on their luck were in the lobby in front of us but the receptionist checked us in first. As we left I heard a lady being me say to the receptionist, “This is the couple I told you about that I’m checking in today.” I thought it was nice of the lady. HOWEVER, the next morning at 8:30 we came downstairs four a cup of coffee from the breakfast to discover the door to the lobby was locked and so was the front door. There were still plants on the coffee maker and it was obvious no breakfast either. We decided maybe the breakfast was in a different part of the hotel so we walked down the hall. It became obvious there they have long time residents living there. The hallway was smelly from what smelled of urine. There was a Christmas wreath on one of the doors, plants outside one of the doors, a welcome mat and some signs on other doors, which led me to believe people were living there, not motel guests staying four a few days. We decided to find a McDonalds. In the parking lot next to our car looked like a girl who slept in her car all night. Her car and 4 others had broken windows that had been mended with cardboard and tape. Wow! We would not have stayed if we would’ve checked in when there was daylight. The room itself was large and looked clean. The sheets had a stain on it which made me smell the sheets. They smelled clean. I didn’t want to sleep in them so I sleep into of the top sheet. The next day I realized they were using the top floor for actually motel guests and the bottom floor as rooms for homeless people that are brought in by an organization or social workers from Portland. The broken in looking cars and the smell of urine throughout the motel made me feel very unsafe when I saw it in broad daylight."
"Quite place, nice also it have a home feeling. Ur not harassed for every little thing and front desk always helpful. I've stayed here a couple times what people don't know is they have nice big boy apartment rooms inexpensive living room bedroom yeah like that! So don't be confused by the sunset strip it's nicer then it looks! Good place to be a peace!"
"The issues here were endless. The whole hotel smelled like sewage. The rooms were cold. The heater, when finally warm, smelled like urine. The pillows were more pillowcase than pillow. Directly next door is a strip club. Drunks and various types hanging about asking for handouts. Nothing about it felt kid friendly. As a matter of fact, you can see when you walk into the room the door had already been kicked open and ill repaired. There was a bucket under the kitchen sink to catch water. The water out of the shower was yellow. It's truly endless. Stay away!!! You'll not enjoy your stay."
