Reviews of Hamma Hamma Campground
"Awesome are! Camped outside of the actual campground, but there is a good amount of national forest."
"Beautifull.. so many trees in so many shapes. It is like looking at clouds. You can see almost anything on the twisted, and bent moss covered trunks, limbs, and branches."
"Starting with the cons: there's no potable water at the campground/bathrooms, and it seems like there's no one managing this campground. Some jerks were blasting loud music until after midnight despite there being signs posted that quiet hours were 10pm. The pros: this location is absolutely beautiful. There's a nice little trail with some historical placards that runs through the campground. There are two convenient locations to access the Hamma Hamma river, just minutes away from any campsite. The forest itself was beautiful with this rusty autumn moss covering most of the trees."
"Great location and spacious campsites. The river next to the campground was pretty! It was full on a Thursday but there are some dispersed campsites in the area if there no sites left. The downside was that the forest service did not maintain the campground well, no toilet paper in the bathroom for days and I saw them drive through only one time."
"Very nice. Arrived on a Sunday around noon to about 3/4 sites reserved, some occupied, others not but reservation papers attached to the posts. Did not camp, but used the Living Legacy trail to day-use by the river. Only 2 parking spots for the trail, both occupied when I came, so I parked on the outside of the open gate. Pit toilets, no potable water as others have described. Living Legacy trail is a little overgrown."
