Reviews of Hobuck Beach Resort
"I absolutely love this place!! The scenery is gorgeous and the vibe is so laid back - exactly what camping should be like. Campsites are first-come-first-serve and the are no official sites, you just set up wherever you feel fits best. The off season was perfect because there were maybe 10 of us camping so we all had plenty of space and gorgeous spots. I also loved that there were a few local dogs who hung around the campground. They were so friendly towards people and other dogs and protected the campground from coyotes at night (yes, really! We heard one of them chase off multiple). It was also nice because we were able to let our dog off the leash as we walked around the campground. It seemed like as long as dogs were respectful and well-behaved, no one was bothered by it. The bathrooms were in decent condition so that makes me think feedback from a previous review was acted on, because they were in good condition during my stay. It's well off the beaten path so expect roads to be filled with pot holes, but nothing too serious. Our prius handled it just fine!"
"I wish I could leave a better rating but the state of the bathrooms has lead me to the 3 stars which I am being gracious for leaving. I understand it is off season but if your campground is open for business, the bathrooms should be clean and the trash not over flowing. The reason I am giving 3 stars instead of 1 is because the women in the office I spoke to over the phone was very lovely and helpful. I surely hope the cleanliness of these bathrooms improves."
"We stayed in Cabin 3 which was pet friendly. We felt lucky to find such a nice place to stay. The bed was comfy, the shower was hot with lots of pressure and the rooms were very clean. Lots of channels on the TV. We would stay again. Warning... the resort has trouble with reservations made the same day after 5 because they close at 5. Call ahead or go into the office."
"I wish I would’ve woke up earlier to enjoy the peaceful morning air and walk to the water, but my husband did! The bed wasn’t super comfy, but it did the trick. The cabin was super quaint and quiet and our night there was super peaceful. The people and fur babies wandering around were friendly and kind!"
"This place is a gift to stay. The landscape is stunning, the staff are friendly, the cabins are clean and comfortable with all the necessities. It was a healing experience for me to stay for over a week and see the different weather patterns move through: from rainy days to bright, sunny hot days. The Makah folks are hospitable, and I’m always grateful for the opportunity to experience what it is like to live in one of the most beautiful places on earth! Time somehow doesn’t exist, I get to slow down, and finally take in life. Thank you to the staff for making my experience five stars! Thank you Bill! Thank you Holly!"
