"The Holistic Health Clinic has been taking care of me for the last year, and now my daughter. Dr. Maas is incredibly compassionate, she's thorough, and she truly makes me feel like she's got my best interest and health as a priority. "I have been struggling with some underlying symptoms and was convinced by my treating ND here that the cause was non-optimal hormone levels. I was treated for this and payed out of pocket for the medicine, as well as out of pocket for the appointment. To be clear, I have insurance and was told they accept my insurance, and then was billed for services. They told me this was my fault for not calling my insurance company. I myself am I provider and would not ever tell someone I was in-network unless I 100% knew Shouldn't a clinic know if they are in-network with specific insurers? Moreover, the "treatment" I was convinced would address my symptoms caused a major medical issue that left me in intense pain and agony for over a month. I asked the team to *at least* not charge me for the services which caused me harm. Instead, I was treated rudely by the ND, who said I had lots of other "complaints" that she had to deal with, and therefore she would only knock of $65 off my $250 service charge. As a provider, if I led a vulnerable person to believe that a treatment they did not even know about before coming in would help them, and that treatment caused them significant pain and distress, I would feel awful. I wouldn't even think about stubbornly blaming them and refusing to console them. Beware of "hormone optimization" and do your own research into treatments that are encouraged at this office without full disclosure of potential side effects. Never once did this ND express concern or apologize for what I am experiencing. Pride was more important than my wellbeing. I am hoping this clinic can find a way to make this right as I feel STRONGLY that the principle of nonmaleficence has been violated."
"PLEASE READ! This is my first time posting a review ever in my entire life! I really took time to do so in hopes to help out others. If I could give zero rating, I would! without second thought. Note that I have not seen any of their doctors yet and this review is not a reflection of their doctors' knowledge and skills. I set up an appointment with them personally around September. I was very happy to see a holistic clinic in our area. they set me up for October 31. after setting up an appointment, the lady informed me they will send me a new patient form to fill out. An expected process, which you always have to do in any appointment right? I did not receive any emails or text from them until October 26. it is a message reminding me of my appointment and I responded that I confirmed it. around 6am on October 27, I checked my email and received an email from them stating I have not filled out the patient forms yet and that they will automatically cancel the appointment if not filled out by 8am. the email was sent October 26 at 3pm. That is not even a 24hr notice. I immediately tried to fill out the form so I could submit it on time. Problem is, the forms were not fillable online. I have to print them, and I do not have any printer at home. Even If I read it the moment, they sent it on October 26 at 3pm, there was no way I could go to print out and scan it back. since as a regular person, we have things to do. On October 27, somebody from the clinic called me at 0903 which I did not get to answer immediately as I was driving. I called them back asap at 0907. This is where things got disappointing. the person told me they will cancel my appointment since did not submit it on time. I tried to explain that I did not have time to pint it out so I could send it on time since they only sent it yesterday. It would have been easy if the forms were fillable online, but it wasn't. The representative was saying they sent it to me on September. I informed them I have not received it. Thye insisted they did. and since I did not submit it, they cancelled the appointment already. I really did not receive any forms on September and for them to just give me less than 24 hours to submit is just not enough time. The representative was rude, very dismissive, did not even let me explain and kept on repeating that they sent it on September. My appointment is not until October 31, Istill have time to finish submit it even prior to the appointment date. But no, they did not give any chances since I did not meet their deadline of less than 24 hours. now, they have to reschedule. I already filed for a leave and requested for a before school drop in for my child just for this appointment and it was so easy for them to cancel my appointment. I find it very inconsiderate and what really upset me the most is how the representative handled and spoke to me. Again very dismissive and impolite. I just feel like if this is how I am treated by just trying to see a doctor, then I do not want to be seen by them anymore. It is more than a month wait, now I have to find a clinic to have an appointment and pretty sure they are all pretty booked. Have I known this is how they serve their clients, I should have not set an appointment with them. I am not trying to be that person who wants rules bent for them and I don't even believe in the saying that customers are always right. I do respect policies and I have worked in customer service and I also work in healthcare myself, so I do understand there are processes and rules. However, in this situation, I was not given ample time to meet what was needed of me and was spoke too very disrespectfully. I do thin k that it was their lacking but was projected towards me. *This acct. is not my own, as I do not have a gmail acct. I used a friend's acct because this how badly I wanted to write this review. The clinic could for sure trace who I am and hopefully if they really care for their clients and future client, that they will take action. I do not want anything to do with this clinic anymore."
