Reviews of Seattle Passport Agency
"Wow! What a great experience! From the moment you walk in, you can tell that they have streamlined everything about this process. It took no more than 15 minutes to go through security and drop off the documents, and I was able to pick up my passport on the same day. The staff are kind, patient and provide very good customer service. I have nothing but the best to say about this office. Keep up the good work!"
"I do not have enough good things to say about the Seattle Passport Agency. I had less than 48 hours to renew and they were able to do it in 7 hours for the extra fee. All documentation was needed including passport photos - read carefully required documents to bring. Incredibly efficient, kind, courteous, and gracious, my embarrassing shortsightedness was washed away by the ease of this experience. A note on the private courier services: generally wouldn't recommend as they will charge significantly extra with a slower turnaround time. Reached out to one of them. They were out of their "24 hour passports," and fastest they could get it to me would have been over a week away. In this case, as in many others, public sector > private sector. Thank you, Seattle Passport Agency!"
"I realized my passport expired Thursday morning about 10:30 am and immediately called this agency to make an appointment. I left the Seattle Passport Agency the next day at 11:30 am with a renewed passport in hand! Nearly 24 hour turn-around time! I fly out this coming Tuesday morning so really only had Monday to spare if absolutely necessary and would have had to drive back up to Seattle again from Portland (could not risk FedEx shipment Monday even with such a tight window). Quick and efficient and took my circumstances into account and didn’t question my trip (which is for work) or why I had let my passport lapse. You have to call in advance and make an appointment and bring printed itinerary showing international travel, passport application, and a new passport photo. I had a 9:30 am appointment but showed up at 8:00 and was done submitting materials by 8:30. By 11:30 I had a brand new passport and was walking out of the building. I recommend showing up extra early if you are nervous or have time sensitive situation because it does get busy and I needed any possible time advantage on my side. When I got back to pick up my passport at 11:30 there were probably 50 people in the waiting area. This place seriously saved me and cannot thanks this place enough. Clerks and security were calm and helpful despite many stressed out people like me coming in!"
"Facts. When you call make sure you have a booked flight within 1-14 days. If you are booked within just a few days you should get your passport same day. If you are booked within 14 days you should get your passport next day. Bring a copy of your trip info confirmation code, airline, dates. We flew into Seattle and took the light rail straight to the recommended stop Pioneer Sq Station, which by the way there are people that live outside of it if it’s during the day you should be OK but we were yelled at by a crazy lady on the way. She was calling us the B word and saying crazy stuff. I was worried for my daughter, it was a bit stressful, but everyone said its better /safer than the Chinatown stop so we stayed with it. walking there it is a short distance, but it’s straight uphill so I’d say it was about four blocks uphill and then you make a right go to the office. Use your google maps so it helps you track. G maps says 6 minutes but it takes about 10-15 minutes. Once there, you have to clear airport type security first then go on an elevator upstairs. Make sure you have everything that they requested you have that was online and you’re giving explicit directions of everything you need. Don’t forget anything and in our case the copy of my husband‘s drivers license or passport I think we had part of the number cut off so make sure your copies are complete. It could’ve totally messed up our day if they hadn't accepted it. Once in you sit and wait til they call your name. there is a building that is when you leave the passport office while you wait so you get in line when you get there you talk to the agent it’s like a bank you can’t take a picture inside so it’s like a bank we walk up to a teller go over all the information they approve or disapprove and then you pay and then they tell you what time to pick up the Passport in our case it was same day I think at 2 PM so we had to leave and if you go out of the building and make a right and walk about four or five blocks. It’s the tallest building opposite side of the street and this was pretty safe to walk inside as a food court and a place to relax till your appointment don’t go early because they don’t let people in until the time did you go upstairs and you waited another line which could be about 30 minutes to 45 and then they had out the passports people do get frustrated but it is very busy agency like hundreds of people go every day for the emergency passport, so plan accordingly. My photos are of the metro closest to. I didn’t feel safe on the outside but it seemed safe underground. I wouldn’t do it again. Especially alone with my daughter."
"Instant Passport Photo service is available right on the first floor with an easy in and out for a passport photo. I had a wonderful experience with the staff at the photo center. They were kind, and considerate and paid attention to every detail to ensure my photos met the required specifications. They are professional and aware of the photo requirements for passports/visas. Highly recommend! No appointment is Needed. The location for the photo service is fantastic, situated in a beautiful building downtown right in the same building as the Seattle Passport Agency and the staff did a great job of lighting me well and making me feel comfortable and at ease. Overall, I had a positive experience and would go back to the center for any future photo needs."
