"BEWARE!!!! Some Dr's at this clinic are here for a check, NOTHING MORE. My Dr does not care about me OR my pain lvl. I tried for 13 months to get an in person appt. Every time it came to within 3 days of the appt the nurse would cancel. I suffered a severe injury and my Dr did not care. I gave the specifics to the nurse, and nothing. Now I have lost vision in one eye(due to a severe TBI). I might not get it back. BUT had my Dr acted in a timely manner, I may not be facing PERMANENT loss of vision. Doctors are supposed to treat their patients to the best of their ability. I am in severe pain from day to day but my Dr will not prescribed pain meds. He literally does not care. Do yourself a favor, if you have a choice between silverdale and American Lake, choose American Lake."

"It's shocking you can treat veterans this poorly. Delt with the VA in three states never had a problem until WA state. 2 years of waiting still haven't been seen I couldn't even get a phone call through to a real person until the staff at the battle creek Michigan VA reached out. I finally got a call just for them to tell me they can't see new people and the best I could do was transfer everything to out patient and then send them info.... That's pointless. I have years of free medical care owed to me from combat status wasted because this side of the state is an absolute joke. After never being able to get through on the phone I drive in to talk to someone and was treated like trash. It was like the interview process for security and front desk staff was 3 questions. Do you hate veterans? Do you hate engaging with patients about their health? Is the highlight of your day seeing people in pain get refused health care? Then we have the job for you."

"I moved home to WA state from Cleveland Ohio. I called the VA for help with a medical issue I was experiencing. I have never felt so disrespected. Not only was the person on the phone extremely rude but hung up on me. I can't believe the way I was treated when I was in medical distress. I have not been to the VA since and not getting the assistant I was receiving in OH. I am trying to relocate out of the area so I can continue to receive service."
