"I can not even find all of the right words to describe Discover Recovery Prune Hill. Plainly stated, this is not my first time in recovery. I have personally and professionally seen many different rehabilitation centers and multiple treatment modalities. Discover Recovery was SO completely different than anything else I had seen or experienced. When they say holistic, it is no joke. I'm talking three absolutely amazing meals a day cooked by the sweetest chefs (who, by the way, will know you by name and all of your nutritional preferences), a gorgeous and clean facility, a very wide range of classes, just enough free time to work on self care and relax without being bored out of your mind, an open exercise area, outings to discover having fun sober again, art classes, pottery, equine therapy, 12 step and similar program introductions, resources galore, multiple modalities of therapy, discharge followup and planning, and the list just goes on. The classes include alcohol and drug education, the science behind addiction, breath work, relapse prevention, DBT/CBT, mindfulness, medication management and family systems, just to name a few. I think the biggest piece for me was diving deeper into what was behind my addictive behavior and not just placing a label of addict on me, slapping me with the same information you can google, and call it a day. You see a therapist twice a week, a substance abuse counselor twice a week and a psychiatrist as needed after initial intake. Most of the staff has time in recovery themselves and it is so very obvious that this is more than just a job to them and it makes it feel so much more like they are not just your "staff" for the day. They are relatable and they CARE! The admissions team will move heaven and earth to make sure you get where you need to be, PERIOD. The nurses and techs are knowledgable and professional, all while lending a shoulder when you just need to sob. Once a week, the director of operations sits down with all of the residents to find out what is going well, what is not, and what suggestions you might have to better the program or just down right make your stay more comfortable. She is also available for you whenever you need her, she's absolutely incredible. Now, are their rules? Absolutely, this is rehab people, not a freaking vacation and they have to think about the safety and well being of everyone. Will it be the hardest thing you've done? Probably, but it is whole heartedly worth every minute, penny, and every other sacrifice you have to make to go. If you had any reservations of choosing this facility, I hope I changed your mind because believe you me, I was terrified of this, and 32 days later I left a completely different person. As we all do, I will have to keep working hard to stay sober, but Prune Hill gave me the BEST foundation to begin my journey. When I walked in the first day the quote on the white board in the office was, "The best apology is changed behavior," and this institution showed me how to get started doing that with nothing but love and support. I'll be forever grateful."

The personalized addiction treatment combined with superb mental health therapy allows for healing and addresses the root cause of each client's addictive behavior on a case by case basis. The behavioral technicians are outstanding, caring, very capable, and go beyond to ensure every client is comfortable and has everything they need for success. The nurses are very capable, friendly, and skilled. The counselors and therapists are super knowledgeable, understanding, experienced, and show great genuine caring for everyone's recovery. The food is out of this world, with super skilled and friendly chefs, that prepare and plate it to a very high standard. The owners are super nice, professional, and have the upmost understanding, respect, and empathy for all their clients. Last but not least is the room accommodations and facilities which are by far the best around."

"This place saved my life! The entire experience was top notch: intimate setting, luxurious accommodations (4-5 star hotel level), private chef prepared meals, awesome recreation room with pool table, pong, gym with Tonal, incredible staff and counselors/therapists, designed for working professional adults, zero court ordered situations, patients there want to be there, etc...! Aside from the aforementioned, when I was there for a period of 35 days, the largest number of person's in the house was 10, I think the max they allow is 13. This is done purposefully, to allow for a highly personalized treatment plan based on your situation, unlike other facilities that use a "one size fits all" approach! This place is special and it is exactly what i needed, if you want to get sober or clean, I implore you to call them and see what they have to say! It will be one of the best decision you ever made!"
