"Dr Dahmer-White has been a very astute and insightful person who has been in my life for over 15 years. She has been through a lot of my most difficult changes and has managed to be a respected and respectful participant in my life. When I began with the Doctor, l was a professional woman who was in a marriage that I thought was as solid as a rock. Then after 27 years, I found out that I was the only one who thought of our marriage in those terms. So, to be able to get past that was a lot of work but that was what was done. And mixed in there was a stroke and l didn't let that stop me. I had to change my perception of myself. And then my career was over; l retired. Then came the wrong diagnosis of Parkinson's for 4 years. l was able to come to terms with being properly diagnosed with a very rare and a deadly disease, called Multiple System Atrophy. The fact that I am able to write that without breaking down is a real testament to. Dr Laura. Her ability to assist me with the self-reflection and to keep putting one foot in front of the other (even when I could no longer walk and she had to visit me in my Assisted Living Community). Today when we had to visit over the phone on face time due to the Covide-19 virus and my being sequestered...Well, that's the why I am writing this. I will always be able to share the ups and downs of my life with Dr.Laura Dahmer-White, she is the Best !!!"
