Reviews of Washington Center for Pain Management
"I've been a patient for well over 10 years and for all those years have been treated poorly. They don't listen to you. They're pushy and in a hurry to move on to the next patient. They change your medications without consulting you. Other patients I've ran into aren't thrilled going there, they talk about if you get a fill in doctor the first thing they do is change your medications. They want you on their program, not what helps you. I don't recommend it but everyone is treated differently so maybe you'll have a positive experience, roll the dice and find out, just have a back up plan."
"Avoid going to this clinic if you have an option. I came to Washington Center for Pain Management from Seattle Pain Center after it closed down without notice. I should have done more research. I did read reviews, but thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. That was a mistake. I am four visits in and have learned of their "clinic policy". Essentially, unless you have cancer, you will not be prescribed over a certain number of pills in a month, although their month is 28 days, not 30. So every month I went in, they cut my meds down, due to "clinic policy". I would understand if I were over-medicated, but I have a laundry list of back issues that had me disabled at 35 yrs old. During my last visit I discovered that there is some key information missing from my file. Information I handed to them, that the Dr. read, on my first visit. It is astonishing. I have not been talked to about any alternative pain treatments such as injections. Just medication. This place is worse than Seattle Pain Center, and that was shut down. Update - I was labeled a pill seeker because I questioned the "One size fits all" clinic policy and because I requested to see a different Dr. within the same clinic."
"The doctors and staff at this clinic have been exceptional in helping me cope with my chronic back pain. They offer solutions other than just pain medication. They listen to my concerns and troubles with a sympathetic ear and are always willing to offer suggestions and solutions to my issues. They have been a god send in helping me deal with chronic pain. Thank you so much for all you do, it has improved my quality of life!!!!"
"This is the first time something is finally being done about the Neropathy pain I have had for over six years now. The staff is very friendly and polite and the nurse I get has always seemed to care. I have always had the same Doctor where at the one that shut down I went to for four months at 3 locations and never the same doctor. And every visit was a repeat of the first. Yes this place took my pain medication down but when it was intolerable they did help me but they do have a plan for me, waiting on insurance. I highly recommend this place"
"After a long commute I was offered an opioid pump. Now I take 40 mg of the medicine I take, the doctor explained that if I get a pump, that it cuts down the use of medicine to a tenth of what I take orally. Now,to have surgery where I am put to sleep, and having a device installed into my body, for 4mg of whatever medicine they perscribe,in my eyes is not even worth doing the surgery in the first place. Would have much rather heard,I don't feel comfortable treating you than having to go on an opiate holiday for 2 weeks (Dr.s words) No thank you. I would not recommend this clinic."
