"After reading the last post I can see nothing has been done to correct the communication and responsiveness issues within Capital Urology. My life partner was in so much pain after her recent kidney stone surgery, we called the MA/PA line to ask what to do about her extreme pain she was experiencing from the stent. We didn't get a call back even after calling 10 times herself and me calling twice, all times leaving messages we wanted a call back. What do we do!?? We even asked our PCP to call and they couldn't even get through. It wasn't until late after the third day did we FINALLY get a call and of course, all the MA/PA staff had already go home for the day. We were assured we'd get a callback the next morning but of course, we didn't. So we just had to go down there in person and insist we talk to someone about getting this stent out because it was just killing her from the pain. We were going around in circles for a bit until I said if you aren't going to do anything we'll just go over to the nearby Emergency Room at Capital Hospital and see what they could do. Suddenly a spot miraculously opened up! We got the stent out and now she's doing a ton better. It shouldn't have to come down to a patient (a sick one to boot) having to go down in person to get reasonable post-surgery care. Waiting three (3) days for a callback is outrageous. Until this clinic fixes their poor communication and post surgical care responsiveness, I do NOT recommend going here for ANY urological procedures. Why can't you guys get it together and call back people?"
"I can't speak to how good the Doctor is here, but when trying to get an appointment the staff didn't seem to be very honest. They told me that they were waiting to get my CT scan from St. Peters and they would call me back to schedule an appointment. After waiting another week I called them back and they said they cannot fit me in at all. So why did they lie about waiting for the CT Scan and waste my time? Maybe the Doctor is good, who knows?, but the admin part really sucks. Ethics are important when it comes to medical care, so I am quite happy to go elsewhere thank you very much!"
"After two months and six + phone calls, they finally received the referral from our primary physician. Then told to call in a few days to schedule an appointment. I’ve called the office three different times to schedule an appointment, goes straight to voicemail and left messages. No one calls back. I wonder if this practice is still open???"
"Saw Dr. Patrick Murray for intense bladder pain I’ve been having for 5 months. He did not listen to anything I had to say, hardly reviewed my file, and his only solutions and advice for me were to see a different specialist. Couldn’t even be bothered to run any sort of tests other than urinalysis. He even suggested I speak to my primary care doctor again, as if they weren’t the one that referred me there in the first place. Extremely disappointed."
"My husband was referred here to get a surgery done. And from the time of scheduling to getting his surgery was such a hassle. I lost how many times my husband had to call to check if they received his referral. After getting him on schedule they never called ahead to confirm his appt. Once the surgery was done my husbands wounds were not healing well and he called the office and no one was answering so he left multiple messages for someone to get back to him and no one ever did. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Stay away from this place!"
