Reviews
"I really had to think hard about this review and honestly the more I thought about it the more frustrated I got. Initially I was very excited about this clinic because all the people were super nice and made me feel very welcome. Unfortunately after that initial impression it seemed like one issue after another. On my second visit, they gave my discharge paperwork to another patient, and gave me his. I noticed it as I was leaving but at that point the other person had already left. This is a pretty big HIPAA violation, I was willing to over look it, but looking back I should have ceased services. On my third visit they needed to draw more blood, the first time they drew blood the nurse that did it was excellent and listened to my needs however on this visit it was a different person. I attempted to explain how to get blood from me but was not listened to. After three people including the doctor digging around looking for a vein I was sent to a blood draw clinic and left with a huge bruise that didn't go away for almost a week. On my final visit the doctor wanted to talk about weight loss. I am a big guy and always have been, my health is perfect, but she was concerned. I explained that I was willing to explore this but I do not take drugs that are amphetamines or opioids because I am in recovery. The doctor assured me there would be options and suggested a drug with side effects that sounded very amphetamine-like, I expressed my concerns but felt like she wasn't hearing me. She said it wasn't and sent the script to my pharmacist. As soon as I left I looked it up and it sure was in the same family, with the same potential for abuse. I never picked up the meds As I left that time they asked to follow up in two weeks once I started the med. Because I never picked it up, I did not follow up. The appointment for follow up was on a Tuesday, I called the Thursday and Friday before leaving a message each time because no one answered, finally on Monday I got the receptionist and cancelled the appointment. Then I was charged a $50 no show fee. That was the last straw for me. I decided I would not go back. Not surprisingly a week later I got a bill for my appointments and the late fee and when I called to dispute it was told "it takes time to process insurance and the bill would not be changed" I was also told I had 10 days to pay it or it would go to collections. This hostility pissed me off. You give me repeated HIPPA violations and refuse to listen... It takes you weeks to bill me and you add on charges... but you want me to pay NOW. I don't think so. They can go ahead and send it to collections, it won't be the first or the last. That being said I recommend finding someone else. I went to Indigo after this and had just as friendly staff, quicker service, and was listened to when I shared my concerns."
"Kim has been my primary provider for the last two years. She has shown knowledge and empathy in my care. She listened to my concerns and addressed then quickly. I highly recommend her as a primary provider."
"I am leaving this review after a combination of several experiences. The only reason I rated two stars and not one is because the office and other support staff are absolutely phenomenal. They are why I thought I’d have a good experience when my primary care provider stopped taking my insurance and this was the only place in town accepting new patients who also took my insurance. The first concerning experience I had was with the NP practitioner who runs the clinic seemed rushed both times I met with her. She only spent five or less minutes with me each time and both times the information I provided her with and asked for were completely missed by her when I left the clinic. The second appointment I asked for a referral for a concerning condition that severely impacts my quality of life, because they did not do the lab work I had requested the first appointment that she said they’d most certainly do. This referral did not happen. I had to send a message begging them to follow through and expressing my concern over being dismissed before they did send the referral in for me. When asking for continued care for certain issues I’d had addressed with my previous provider, I was told each issue needed its own appointment. Why? Especially when the NP spends less than 5 minutes with me and doesn’t have any level of care to follow through on her word. I made one appointment a few weeks ago which I absolutely did not show for due to the anxiety of showing up and knowing I would have to heavily advocate for myself again. I knew that I would have a no show fee - no problem. I get a notification via email two or three days ago, plan to pay next Friday when I get paid (budget for it like a normal human you know), they send two more notifications over the next 24 hours with two more already today. Completely unprofessional. They operate like a collection agency. My other medical providers allow at least two weeks for payment - it’s never been an issue before. With the facts stated, my personal opinion is that the NP is in practice just for the money and doesn’t care for their patients. If you are in a pinch you may be better off traveling out of your way for care if you can find another provider."
"**this is being written from the prospective of someone who has taken a patient to this clinic and I've also heard unprofessionalism from phone calls the patient had on speaker while I was in the room. So no I'm not a patient but this is a valid review. Patients should not be leaving the doctors office crying due to mistreatment and rude behavior from clinic staff** Unprofessional and unkind environment. Would not recommend. Their practices are border line illegal but somehow get away with it."
"Kim, ARNP is amazing and caring. She provides an excellent care to her patient. I highly recommend her for a primary care provider. Office staffs are very kind and nice too. I am very happy with the care at Lacey Family Clinic."
