"Today 03/23/22 at 0730am, my wife attended her first physical therapy appointment at Montesano PT. Upon arriving she was greeted by a rude and short tempered front desk receptionist. Once initial paper work was filled out she was taken to an exam area by the Physical Therapist Joe Arndt. Who did not introduce himself only told her to follow him. Once in the exam area Joe asked my wife if she was seeing another therapist? She advised him that she was and the therapist was in Olympia which is much longer drive. And due to her being in pain she would like to find a closer therapist who could help her. She then was told by Joe that due to the fact that she was already being seen by another physical therapist that his services wouldn't be covered by insurance and he couldn't help her. My wife disagreed with him and he told her he she needed to move on so he didn't "fall behind." Once my wife explained her issue she was seeking therapy for, all he did was shrug his shoulders and said "well insurance won't pay for it so I can't help you." Upon arriving home we called our insurance company (Regence Blue Shield). Upon reaching a representative they advised us that we could see as many Physical Therapists as we wanted. So not only did Mr Arndt refuse to treat my wife he blatantly lied to her. If this "man" was afraid to try and treat her condition he should have recommended a different therapist who could help her. Not lie to her and treat her as if she didn't matter with a shrug if his shoulders. My wife is in so much pain and driving or even riding in a vehicle makes the pain worse. Joe Arndt to disregard her like this over a lie that he ginned up is not only pathetic but it's unconscionable."
