"Lots of homeless using the shelter for their dance rave while kids played. It had been raining pretty good so I get it. Feeling the need to be hypervigilant with the number of lurkers all around the playground though. Felt better when other parents and kids arrived. The slide although cool, puts kids out of sight and easy reach if they can't climb the steep hill as they go around the path behind trees and rocks. So difficult for single parent of multiple kids. We all wish the ufo merry go round was a little merrier and moved easier. They like this park though and the slides are super fast after it rains fyi."
"This one's a favorite. There's something to do here every season, with beautiful sculptures and inscriptions, of both of our history as well as our present. From the wall of various names who were an integral part of one of our military units to the sun dial along with what must be a lifelike display of our planet among the rest intricately lain into a vast table; including a huge wall climbing area, although care is cautioned due to many loose pieces I've encountered while ascending. This isn't a simple, plain park. Springs can include bike treks with provided bikes and maintenance lessons. Summers turn into water filled fun as fountains are activated. Falls can be enjoyed by all, including rentable enclosures for special occasions or to hold and host an event. Winters enhance its invitation as crystalline bounces across every surface. Also, conveniently available businesses located in and nearby include the community center, library, senior center, museum, and international plus regular eateries, gas stations, grocery stores, drive-thru prayer offerings, thrift shops, auto body shops, etc."
"This park has the Crow with Fries, Peace Obelisk, American-Vietnamese War Memorial, Museum, Library, Discovery Playground and Sensory Garden, Bocce Club... It's definitely a great spot for kids in the summer to cool down in the spray park, fountain areas. I stopped here on the way to a concert at the Amphitheater, which is only 20 minutes away."
"It’s really genius to have so many community programs in one complex. It maximizes the parking and, to my delight, places the playground very far away from the street. We went to this park in our quest for some sprinkler. I give high marks for the placement of the park. But the sprinklers are not all working they could be looked, the normal playground what in pretty good conditions. The water was very fun still and the sand pit is not something a lot of parks take on. Now they did have some workout equipment but but most of them were broken. They had bathroom but no changing table. They had covered and uncovered eating areas. Very nice park."
"Children's Play area is great. Paved loop around park is really nice to walk. The library is next door. Nice picnic tables and benches in different area's. Great 4th of July Event"
