Sure Lock Escapes

"I’m going to go against the grain here and give some honest feedback. I liked these rooms; I’ve done guardians of the grove and shimmer reef. But they aren’t my favorite. The puzzles lack depth. Both rooms are very lock heavy. We specially asked our game master not to give us hints and they popped in occasionally to say things like “don’t pay attention to that yet” even on items we were just looking at to inspect. The design of the rooms is okay. Overall I had a good time but won’t be returning to do the other rooms. The lanterns were dying when we used them so we had to use our cellphone flashlights. Upon telling the game master at the end she shrugged it off and said “yeah sometimes they die” maybe new lanterns that work better would be ideal. I preferred shimmer reef over guardians. Though, my husband liked the math puzzle in guardians a lot."

"My friends and I had a wonderful time at the Guardians' Grove escape room today! The set was beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and I loved how the puzzles were integrated with the environment. Our group of 6 worked out well for the room itself- it didn't feel too crowded at all. I enjoyed the number and variety of challenges. Our GameMaster was great as well, and offered just the right number of hints. We thoroughly enjoyed our time, and definitely want to book another escape room next time as well!"

"Only my 2nd escape room experience so was a bit challenging but fun. Rooms were a bit dark, had to use phone light occasionally as our group was given only 2 lanterns"

"I have done two out of the 4 rooms and they were fantastic. The puzzles are easily understood, they make sense, but are challenging. The rooms are visually great and the whole place is clean. They have a snack bar, lockers, bathrooms. parking is free"

"Really great escape room. We did the Guardian Grove and it was immersive and beautiful! It was pretty "low tech" for a thematic escape room and that was actually to the room's benefit, as the puzzles were extremely clever, logical, and tactile. There were also a lot of physical puzzles which were unique and super memorable! I don't want to be the first one to rate this place lower than 5 stars, and it truthfully deserves 5 stars, but one major issue left my party feeling somewhat dissatisfied in the end. This was a 100 minute room and we completed it in 59 minutes. It wasn't inherently "too easy," but our guide gave us at least 4 or 5 hints and we never asked for any. Unlimited hints is great, but I much prefer needing to ask for hints in escape rooms (especially when we were doing so well on time!). Over half of the hints we were given were for things we likely would have figured out on our own in time (which would have brought us much closer to 100 minutes of play, with more personal satisfaction of a job well done). Two of the hints we were given were for obscure half-puzzles that we may never have figured out on our own, but those two things felt like poor puzzle design to me and would have been greatly improved with an extra clue in the room itself. Overall, fantastic experience. We will likely return for the other rooms and will request not to be given hints until we ask for them. Stinky lads win big!"
